    Brake Pads

    I say get motorcraft brake pads. If you get pads that grip better, they will overhead the rotors and warp them. Been there done that.

    A X pipe will make a raspy sound, not louder. If you want loud, don't use cats.

    snow tires???

    I just have 2 blizzaks's on the rear and have no problems in the snow. They are on V6 rims (205-65-15). I'm too cheap to get all 4 snow tires.

    I've seen replacement connectors at pep boys/autozone/advanced auto. They just have the connectors and not include shrink tubing.

    I bet you used xenon light bulbs and melted the connectors. I've seen it lots of times.

    Wet sanding

    Pep boys has some good rubbing and polishing compound made by 3M. The rubbing compound is called prefect-it II. The polish is called Perfect-It Swirl Mark Remover. There's 2 versions of the swirl mark remover, ligth and dark color paint.
