    Need to maximize gas mileage

    I just filled up today with 93 octane. 250 miles in 12.7 gallons =19.6 MPG. This is all city driving. I get about 1 MPG less with 87 octane.

    I must of been really tired when I wrote that. I got rid of the speedcal and timing adjuster when I got the xcal2. It got rid of the lash when I let off the gas and get back on it.

    I got rid of my speelcal and got the xcal2 and steeda timing adjuster. I still ran the exact time in the 1/4 so I think the HP is exactly the same. The tune maked the car feel so much smoother, I don't want to go back to stock. It got rid of the last when I let off the gas too.

    The best one I found is Lexol. You have to use their cleaner and conditioner. You can find it at your local Pep Boys.

    SCT XCalibrator 2 vs. DiabloSport Predator

    Did you posting your xtr file on SCT forums? I had a pinging problem with my MD tune from 600-1500 RPM. Ryan@sct forums correcting the timing on my xtr file and it's running great now.

    Anyone use an FM Modulator?

    PIE also makes adapters for the 16 and 24 pin (2003.5-2004). The model is FRD03-AUX. Any RF modulator will sound like FM. Just check the back of your radio to see which plug you have. PIE will also make adapters for the 2005+ mustangs. http://members.tripod.com/2005stang-auxbutton/

    If you check the back of your radio, if you have the old style plug (20 pin), you can use a PIE adapter. It converts the digital input from the Mach 460 to RCA input. Too bad it's $75. http://forums.stangnet.com/showthread.php?t=513059

    I can run 8.8 with 3.73's and crappy kumho tires. 8.4 with 4.10's and DR sounds correct.

    problem with speedcal instal

    One plastic piece goes insde the connector so the metal contacts don't fall out. The scotch lock is so the speedcal gets power from the back of the cigarette lighter.

    Parking Brake light

    If you don't push the parking brake all the way down, the light will go on. There's a switch by the handle (inside) that gets pressed in when the handle is down all the way. There's nothing preventing the handle on moving up on bumps.

    When I used ceramic's, they warped my rotors in 6 months. Now I'm using new rotors with motorcraft pads. The ceramic did stop better though.

    You can get a SCT tune (xcal2) from modular depot. The Predator comes with a generic tune while the SCT is custom for your mods.

    In YOUR opinion: Best Anti-Theft Device

    They would also have to bust the steering column and have the key in the run position. Even with pats, I have an alarm in my mustang. I love the alarm feature where it locks the doors after 30 seconds. It also keeps the theives away from my V1.
