Auto Meter Guage Cluster.. why so expensive?

One of the best looking mods you can make to your interior. These are quality guages. Obviously, there is some trade off. They are expensive but easy to install (once you figure out the secret of removing the headlight switch). The other kits require removing the needles from your current...

    Aluminum driveshaft install?

It takes two people to change it out. If you don't, you're going to wear yourself out climbing from underneath your car every time you have to loosen and/or tighten the bolts. I used my emergency brake to hold the driveshaft still with an "unwilling wife"<--use a buddy instead! :(

Any recommedations on rear end covers?

I'm looking to replace the stock rear end girdle on my 02 GT Vert. I'm looking for greater strength, fluid capacity and cooling. The FRPP one is rather expensive. The MAC one costs a little less but I haven't installed any of their products yet. Currently, I'm thinking the TA Perf. I would...

    superchip tuner.. anyone

When you choose the "performance setting," the timing is one of the things that it has to be adjusting upward. When you make that change you have to use >91 octane. I believe that is why they advise not to use this "tuner" if you're supercharged - detonation would be detrimental...

I agree with Acidpete, subs and jacking rails.

    superchip tuner.. anyone

I got the "1725" and it's fairly easy to use. I have a 5 speed so my mods were to the rev limiter, speed limiter and of course, the hipo setting (timing). I have stock gears but I can tell you that when I made my mods it was a significant difference in the launch and accelaration... I...

    Official Tremec 3650 Issues Thread

After reading some of the threads, I decided to change the trans fluid to see if it would fix the 1st to 2nd scratch on my "02" Vert Gt. Well, it really smoothed it out quite a bit but I can still feel a slight scratch going into 2nd. I had 24K miles when I changed it to the Amsoil fluid. I...

Just got off the phone with with Diablo Sport...

You can get the Superchips Microtuner for <$290. It probably does everything and more of what you need. It's the same one for the GT or Cobra "1725." I got mine through 2D's Performance. It is easy to operate (tune) and I like the fact that I can make my changes and be able to bring it back...

One main thing is needed besides all the other stuff, get an FRPP alum driveshaft... Much lighter than stock and it's balanced.

    Autometer Lunar Guage

I agree with BO94ZA4. I bought mine when SS Inserts had them on sale for $399.95. However, I just looked at their web site and did not find them listed now. I can tell you that I love mine and they really look good day or night (but especially at night!). The installation was not that hard...

    exhaust installation tip needed

Besides all the other hints, make sure you give yourself enough room under the car to work (but be safe!). Use some WD-40 or similar stuff for the bolts. To get the passenger side pipe into position, I had to jack the body up on that side (in the rear) to give me enough room to fit the new...

    Brake Pads?

That's definately a nice combo. Make sure to spend the extra bucks by getting the 13" rotors (if you have the stock 11" GT rotors) and the steel braded brake lines. Of course, you'll need new calipers if you go 13" but it's well worth it.

    my first 4.6 need horsepower

Depends on how much cash you want to invest. With my n/a Pony I noticed the most improvement when I changed out to "cat back exhaust" and "cold air induction." You can buy these for about $550.

    Brake Pads?

I have the EBC "Greenstuff" pads with slotted/drilled rotors. They dust but not as bad as some others I have seen and they definately will bring you to a stop quickly... I purchased them from Tire Rack.

    Official Tremec 3650 Issues Thread

I have read about reducing the amount of ATF to 3.2 and that could help. Of course, I also read that when changing the ATF fill it until it runs out. Do you know the scoop on this?

    Official Tremec 3650 Issues Thread

I was thinking of changing my tranny oil to the synthetic Amsoil ATF. I have 22K miles on my Pony. Has anyone been able to improve and/or eliminate their 1st to 2nd "scratch" by doing something like this?

    Addressing the Tremec 3650 issues!!!

I get "Mustang 5.0" and have never seen anything but positive articles about the Tremec 3650 (I think they're tight with Ford). Unfortunately, I experience the same problems on my Pony going 1st to 2nd that everyone else seems to have... However, you have the right idea to get Ford to do...
