    Hi jcp123 vibrations often occur in phases it may very well be vibrating at a lower speed but at such a low amplitutde you can't feel it. watch for balance weights on your driveshaft...I've seen them fall off as the driveshaft ages..they're only tack welded on...starting by balancing...

    hi again zincyellow my only concern would be the six cylinder trannys usually have fewer clutch discs (I'd have to check this to be sure though) in them (ford likes to keep costs down by putting just enough parts in just to get by) by the time you upgrade all the drums inside the tranny to use...

    as of this spring ford now recommends mercon V in all manual transmissions that used mercon III I can send the bulletin to you later....not sure if mercon v is better??but we can no longer get ford mercon III/dextron from ford !
