    Edelbrock intake

The back of the filter may not be as tight of a seal, but I don't even bother with an air filter anymore as I only drive it weekends. I am wanting to make it a daily though and a shaker would be the best way for me to justify an air filter. ;)

    Edelbrock intake

I am and have had no issues. I was going for a stock look so I took the stock air filter housing and just took the top off. The rubber on the filter element seals on top with the hood itself. Don't mean to derail but I would love to figure out a way to get a shaker on mine!

    69 mustang suspension

I am currently running global west leafs with del alum bushings, and Koni shocks in the rear. Really pleased with that setup, as I had really bad wheel hop and it eliminated it without traction bars. Also stiffened up the ride nicely. I currently have Opentracker roller perches, new lowering...

    Cork versus Rubber Valve Gaskets

Yeah the cork work fine, but the rubber ones are great if you are going to be taking the covers off every now and again. I have rubber ones as well and never had a drop.

    Which Distributor?

I see, well looks like no vacuum advance it is. She'll just have to be an expensive daily driver.

    Which Distributor?

Yeah that's what I figured. I thought these engines like around 34-36 total timing?

    Which Distributor?

Yeah my mistake, I will be getting the one compatible with my box. Setting it up isn't an issue, I am doing 22 initial and totals up to 36 once it is all in by 3000. I will play with it once I get it back on the dyno. Just torn on whether the vacuum advance is worth having or not for a car that...

    Which Distributor?

It is winter time which means the car is going under the knife again. I got new front suspension on the way, and need to decide on a distributor. I called MSD and they recommended this distributor to me. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MSD-85805/ I understand the purpose of a vacuum advance...

    5spd or auto?

I'm going throw another vote for the T-5. When you were a kid did you sit in the car and pretend to shift out of park? Row the gears!!

wheelhouse - How do you clean?

If you are trying to get rid of that surface rust, get a batch of muriatic acid from home depot. Brush it on and watch it work its magic. It will eat up all the rust and then you just wash it off. Be sure to use eye protection and do not inhale, use a mask as it will burn up your lungs. Couple...

4 Hole Carb Spacer on Vic Jr. on 408W Stroker

The spacer won't do anything for the car really. On a 408W I can't imagine the Vic Jr. being too crazy. I run one on my 351W and love it. Yes it needs some revs but screams up top. With yours being on a stroker it shouldn't have too much trouble moving that air through the runners at lower rpms...

    Fix tire rub

What I did was used a heat gun to heat up the paint on the outside lip. Once warm held a small 2X4 wood block with microfiber towels around it and applied pressure from the outside with one hand and used a rubber mallet on the inside to roll the fenders. Fixed the problem and no paint damage...

Finally got some dyno numbers wanted some input.

Oh wow! I am not quite that extreme on the timing. I am still waiting for my guy to send me the sheet he said I should get it by Monday cause he doesn't know when the guy who did it will be in. I just want to get this thing dialed in and running right for this summer season so I can focus on the...

Finally got some dyno numbers wanted some input.

How do you like your ignition setup? Which dizzy did you end up going with? Sorry it's taking so long to get the sheet, my buddy lost the number to the place and is trying to find it, it's a little ways away so I don't want to drive in.

Finally got some dyno numbers wanted some input.

Those lift figures in my sig are calculated with the 1.7 roller rockers they would be lower with the 1.6 ratio. I talked to lunati and edelbrock when I was putting the combo together, those valve springs should be able to withstand that cam. As far as the ignition goes, blown65 are you running a...

Finally got some dyno numbers wanted some input.

Hey guys I finally got the Mach on the dyno. Some minor issues but I will be posting up the sheet as soon as they email it to me, their printer wasn't working. So it put down 337rwhp can't remember tq off the top of my head I did it before I put it away for the winter. The thing was running very...

    Building a 1971 351W -2v need more help..going to machine shop

Just be careful, I am with D. Hearne on at least upgrading to screw in studs, guideplates, and hardened pushrods. Very cheap insurance, you will be hating life if the studs manage to wiggle their way out and you drop a valve or something. Do it right the first time around trust me. I have rushed...

    T5 in 69' Stang w/351

Those cable setups work only with select headers. The quadrant design IMO is a far superior design to the ron morris kit. I don't know too much about the modern driveline kit as that kit was not around when I was doing my setup, otherwise I would have considered it, I would prefer a cable any...

    T5 in 69' Stang w/351

Yes rbohm pretty much got it. Your same starter from before will bolt up and work just fine. Unfortunately a cable setup just isn't going to happen in our cars. The cowl dips down too low for a quadrant. Hydraulic is the best way to go on these cars even though it is the biggest PITA to setup...

    Compression test results?

From my experience if it's burning white then you are burning antifreeze indicating a bad head gasket. Oil burns blue.
