    opinions with tranny/gear ratio

It's not the T-5 that is notchy, it's the Tri-Ax. T-5s shift like butter and have a hell of a throw from the factory. Different shifters have different characteristics. I switched mine to the Tri-Ax despite it being a little notchy it gets me quick, short, and hard shifts. I hear the Pro 5.0 is...

    Installing Del Alum Bushings

Okay holy crap these bushings are the biggest pain, but well worth it from what I've heard. I have all the bushings pressed in place, the front eye mounted but not torqued, and the diff secured to the leaf springs via the U bolts, shocks are still not connected. I cannot manage to get these...

    Rear Leaf Woes

Got em out, I thought they were a one piece bushing, didn't realize it was two. Prying worked a lot easier than trying to pound in that mushroomed head. Now to get these del alums in there!

    Rear Leaf Woes

Oh okay so the steel tube will stay in there, I thought they were one piece, kinda like the front eye bushings.

    Rear Leaf Woes

Hey guys it has been a long while since I have been on, but I have finally got my new goodies so I got the car apart again. I was wondering if anybody knows any tricks to getting the rubber bushings the shackles go through that attach to the body, out? I have tried pounding on them, but no luck...

Changed fuel pump now car won't start?

Well guys I went through with it, and got another new pump. Car fired up and ran like a champ. Oh well atleast I know all my wiring is in great shape. But now that seal on the filler neck to the tank is bad, I am driving and dripping gas everywhere. Do need to drop the tank again to get that, I...

Changed fuel pump now car won't start?

I understand I am just getting very very stressed out over this. I need to have a car, the Mach 1 is not a daily driver. I am getting the voltage necessary, and the alternator is doing its job. It's just hit or miss, one time it works, one time it doesn't. I don't understand how all this stuff...

Changed fuel pump now car won't start?

Okay I managed to keep it on while my brother took a reading for me. I had to keep feathering the gas to keep it running for a 15 seconds, and it was around 1500rpms which put it at 14.0 volts on the voltmeter. I don't have one bright idea.

Changed fuel pump now car won't start?

I think it is the fuel pump itself. Now that it is on 225amps it will start, but not stay on. That's what I get for buying a piece of **** autozone remanufactured pump. I am trying to get the voltmeter on it but i can't keep it running long enough. I know the alternator works it is a new one, I...

Changed fuel pump now car won't start?

Okay when I hook the battery up to the charger and put it on the 225 amp setting (Start) and then I just jump the ECC connector, the pump will run for as long as I keep it connected, the car will start, idle, and drive just as it should, but it seems like it needs a little extra juice to do it...

Changed fuel pump now car won't start?

Also I did Jrichkers test he stated in the last post. The pink/black wire got 12volts with the ECC connector grounded, and using a chassis ground. Now I got 8 volts from the yellow wire, and .005 volts from the two black grounds. Now I noticed something, every once in a while like I stated when...

Changed fuel pump now car won't start?

Okay guys I undid the pigtail under by the gas tank, I hit it with 12 volts at the black/pink wire and then touched one of the grounds out of the four prongs, it caused the pump to run fine. So I also checked the wires at the relays and they were getting the 12 volts necessary. I went to the...

Changed fuel pump now car won't start?

Well I disconnected the pigtail by one of the straps that hold on the fuel tank. There were four prongs. One registered at 8 votls the other at 7, does that sound right? Wouldn't it need 12v?

Changed fuel pump now car won't start?

Something still isn't right. I put in a new battery, primed and started up. Took it for a drive around the block, came home shut it off and tried to start it again, it primed, started, idled for 10 seconds and died. Did it a couple more times, it started and idled for 10 seconds. Then it stopped...

Changed fuel pump now car won't start?

Okay now I think I may have found the source of the problem. When I hook my battery up to the charger and set it at 225 amps (Start) the fuel goes, and the car starts and idles. When I disconnect it it stays running. Now if I shut it off again it won't start, I put it at 50 amps on the charger...

Changed fuel pump now car won't start?

Okay I went through and tried to jump the ECC connector like in jrichkers post. The fuel pump solenoid clicked but the pump didn't run. I have noticed that when I turn the key it is hit or miss sometimes the pump comes on for only 1 second, or not at all. Any ideas, I am so frustrated, I am not...

Changed fuel pump now car won't start?

Hmmm I will recheck the lines, but I don't want to drop the gast tank unless I have to cause I just filled the whole thing up. I checked the schrader valve and no pressure. Where is this ECC connector located so I can try tricking the fuel pump into running for a little and see what happens...

Changed fuel pump now car won't start?

Hmmm I will do a search, where is this valve located, I haven't dealt much with fuel injection yet.

Changed fuel pump now car won't start?

Hey guys I just changed the fuel pump on the 93 convertible, I tested it and it worked when I had the tank out. I have verifed that it still works, and is pumping fuel, but my car won't start. I turn the key hear it prime, and crank away only to get nothing. What do you guys recommend? I...

Some Stupid Problems I NEED to Fix!!!

I like it but I can't fit a TKO into a classic without surgery. So I had to go with a T5. I would personally go with the TKO given that they are cheaper and the cases are stronger.
