    TKO fitment

I found hacking my tranny tunnel too much work so I left it alone. Instead I altered the pinion angle on the rear end to achieve the proper driveline angle. Seems to be fine 10 years later. Gotta love TKOs.

    Why won't my wheels fit?

You're not serious, right? Max backspacing on a '68 is 4.75" Spacers are definitely required after 4.75".

    suspension replacing

+1 for Opentracker's suspension. My '66 happily uses his stuff. Quality parts at a very reasonable price.

Cut coils - sits great now

Hmmm, Looks like you're almost ready for the next autocross event at Firebird :D Seriously though, nice looking Mustang. Can't wait to see it crusin' the streets of Chandler. As for coil springs settling, the coil springs may not be settling... But the suspension sure does. I've...

    Your Stance!!

Correct. More backspacing will put the rim closer to the inside of the car, while less backspacing puts the rim closer to the outer fender.

    Your Stance!!

If you want them tucked in, then you definitely want 4.75" backspacing.

    Your Stance!!

I'd want 4.5 or 4.75" backspacing up front.

    Your Stance!!

The rear will be fine, but I'd want more backspacing on the front rim.

    Your Stance!!

Depends on the year of the car. The 65-66 Mustangs use shims behind the upper control arms. Reducing the number of shims behind the rear bolt on the upper control arm will increase negative camber(while also changing caster settings). On the 67+ Mustangs camber is adjusted by moving the...

    upgrade suspension on a budget????

Sounds like a good setup. A 1" front sway bar would be a nice addition as well though.

    maximum compression ratio, 91 octane

My 10.8:1 motor runs fine on 91 octane. If I run a little less timing I can even use 89 octane, which comes in handy for long distance trips to Knotts Berry Farm every year. Its all in the combo, aluminum heads, custom cam shaft, lots of gear, proper timing curves etc.

    Rear End Narrowing

I made the housing narrow so my rim selection would require less backspacing, giving the rim a deeper look to it. So, even though I run 16x8 rims front and rear the rear rims look wider.

    Rear End Narrowing

I found a 9" rear end out of a 73 Ranchero. I don't remember the exact dimensions, but it was quite a bit wider than a 65-66 housing. Ended of making the housing about 2" shorter than a 65-66 housing. I had to do a little grinding on the backing plate, but that was pretty minor. Then I...

Best Holley carb for 347 stroker combo?

I use a 750 CFM Pro-form body with Holley accessories on my 347. Tried a 650 Holley first but was really impressed with the 750 in terms of throttle response and power.
