    remove the power steering?

    I bought the summit manual steering rack kit and put it on last weekend. It's not bad at all. It's definitely easier than turning compared to having the power steering rack on without the pump hooked up. It's not my daily driver so I don't mind it.

    NJ inspection

    I used to live in PA up until a couple of years ago so inspection wasn't a big deal. The car is a 90 GT that doesn't have cats or smog pump on it and I'm guessing it won't pass an inspection. I'm thinking about applying for a collector car sticker. Does anyone have any other ideas? Thanks

    you need to cut your factory door lock wires and use relays to make the locks work. This is a 5 wire setup, it can be accomplished with part number dei 451m, or you can use two relays and make your own. Do a search on 5 wire door locks and you should be able to find a diagram fairly easy.

    get it, i have the p600b and have no complaints, you should probably be able to pick it up for pretty cheap. i have track heat heads and intake and am making 440 hp at the wheels with an 11 lb setup.

    the quick fix they are referring to is called a ground loop isolater. They are fairly cheap, check ebay, should be around 10 bucks.

    The factory radio should take a minute to get out with bending a hanger or there is also keys for this. The harness you probably need is metra 70-1770, the dash kit is definatly metra 99-5025.

    it does seem that vehicle has the ford factory security in it. I don't believe the wire under the hood is for a siren as factory alarms rarely have sirens and usually just use the horn honk and flash the parking lights. Also on the steering column the led may be factory or that may be a dummy...

    the 5 wires you probably have are power, ground, ignition and 2 starter wires. Your starter wire is probably cut and each wire out of this module goes to each side. Just cut this module out and reconnect the starter wire. This sounds like one of the most basic types of starter kills out there.

    you need a crossover to accept the signal from the amp, radio and then out of the crossover there are two feeds, one for the tweeter and one for the woofer

    no you would not use the stock amps to power them. you would use each 60w output from the alpine for each speaker.

    you will not loose the sound from the rear speakers, you are just tapping into them for the source(input) signal for the amplifier.
