    I have always used machines screws, lock washers and nuts with a touch of Loctite. What's the big deal? If someone wants in your car, there are a lot of faster and easier ways.

    You must drill out the rivets. Don't even think of trying to fill in all the holes and smooth it. Way too much work when you can get a lid out of the junkyard in decent shape for very little money.

    Perhaps the manual of the amplifier will tell you what "green, two beeps, red" means. Probably means it sees a load less than its stable level, but without even knowing what amp it is, that is just a WAG.
