    Best Shocks for the money?

I'm of the opposite thinking. My 84 is my daily driver. Since I spend so much time in it, I want it comfortable, sporty, fun and safe. Best struts/shocks for the money (IMHO) are Bilstein. Of course, the spring/strut/shock should be matched as a package (gearheads think h/c/i) or you will...

    dynomat the interior?

Dynamat, not dynomat. Your searches may turn up with more information that way. http://www.dynamat.com/ Two places it helped my hatch a lot are the rear interior panels and the doors. I did this while I had mine torn down for painting. Also, don't forget new seals for the door-to-body...

    Removing paint from trim

I took off the trim with the proper tool, used Bulldog stripper and a grey ScotchBrite (chemical gloves), and it all came right off. Rinsed thoroughly, let dry thoroughly, sprayed coverage of etching, then a few medium of SEM trim color. They still look excellent after 6 years of daily driving...

    Painting my car

I bought a gallon for both of my cars doing jambs, engine compartments, underneath trunk lids and hoods, etc. Sig shows vert in booth. I did not use House of Kolor, though. DuPont.

    1982-1985 5.0 Blocks are Junk.

You may want to rethink that thought. Mine cracked at the stock 175HP level with only a dual exhaust upgrade at 175K miles.

    vert Door Window wont Work

Circuit breaker would only come into play and all power windows would not work. If either switch for the passenger side does not work, the motor will not work. Check both switches first. If it's not a switch, time to tear into the door and check to see if you have power to the motor. If you...

    What's the best motor oil

Too, not to. To adjust a dipstick on any vehicle, at the next oil change drain it and remove the filter. Now put on the new filter (some folks like to fill the filter first), then pour in one quart less of what the engine calls for. Start and let it run for 30 seconds or so until your oil...

    What's the best motor oil

I've literally put a few million miles on vehicles. My last teardown was one of my 5.0's with 188K. It was clean inside. We reused all pistons, rods, cam, lifters, rockers, etc... the block only took a 2000-wire dry hone while the crank only took a polish. I ran dino and a Motorcraft FL1A and...

Easiest way to change exterior door handle?

Take off inner panel. Drill out rivets. Take out old handle. Put in new handle using supplied rivets (need large rivet gun) or machine screws with lock washers and nuts and blue Loctite. Put panel back on.

T-5 all of a sudden got extremely HARD to shift!

Ya know, I've heard a couple of people mention this fluid. I was waffling between this and Redline. When I saw that Royal Purple had "automotic" on their bottle, I put it back on the shelf.

If you have changed bearing retainers, I have questions for you...

Yep. Where there is a hair of play and the shaft is still easy to turn. I kinda feel-measured before I started everything and it feels the same afterwards. My first tranny lasted a quarter of a million miles this way. I figure this one should last a few as well.
