    The 2011 Ford Mustang Details

CA Lightfoot...I hear what you're saying, but the bottom line is that Ford sat on their laurels until the Chevy guys threw something at them (i.e. the 2010 Camaro)...Ford should have been putting in their more powerful 5.0 engine (and the new V6 one) a few years ago and STAY WAY ahead of the...

    The 2011 Ford Mustang Details

Yes Ford...nice job, you just shot yourself in the foot in trying to sell the remaining 2010s...should have waited until mid-summer to announce the 2011...your marketing division will probably have some heads rolling...(and oh, we all know you could have put in a 350HP engine in the 2005 but it...

    2011 V6 stang official release

I'll believe it when I see it...never has Ford given the "little brother (i.e.V6)" that kind of a jump in horsepower (from 210 to 305)...the V6 has always had the attachment that it was not only good in MPG, but that it could keep the insurance costs down...with 305HP, insurance companies will...

    Hood pins

A lot of people have found that by adjusting their hood bumper stops (to allow for a little more pressure when closing the hood) pretty much reduces the hood flapping dance, etc. I know it worked for me...but drilling holes in my hood would never be an option for me...only for the brave.

    parasitic drain on battery

Sogwap55 is right...always be sure to turn off your radio before turning off the ignition.

Shelby Razor wheels rub on lowered cars???

To me it would seem that if you "drop" the height above the wheel/tire than you're going to limit the travel of your wheel/tire as it goes up and down (especially when you hit a pothole, dips, etc.)...it only makes sense that the "travel" going up will be diminished and you're certainly going to...

    Creaking brakes

Just a "heads up." This past weekend I noticed that my brakes were "creaking" every time I would come to stop (and then again as I released the brakes)...I knew my pads couldn't be bad (have 19K original miles...mainly highway)...so I took a quick trip to the dealer and the tech said right away...

SOMEONE BACKED INTO MY '07 GT/CS HELP!

I've used the same PDR guy for the past 12 years with outstanding results (he's even removed very shallow dents on my new cars either from the car carrier or just sitting on the lot to be sold)...a good PDR guy can make dents disappear like magic. My guy can also remove dents from the plastic...

What is the trick with the cabin air filter

The real trick before changing out the cabin air filter is to always put your windshield wipers in the 12 o'clock position before lifting up on the cowling (makes it 100% easier to do)...the cowling should fit right back in (simply press the cowling along the grommet openings). Also make sure...

How to clean Bullitt air filter?

They just couldn't do it easy...they should either provide a cheaper replacement (i.e. already oiled at the factory)...or provide dry filters (also at an inexpensive price) that can do the same job...

    New (to me) battery issue

Don't ask me why...but ever since I made sure that I always turn off the radio (500 Shaker) before turning off my ignition, I haven't had the "dead battery" issue. Go figure...

Motor for Wiper Blades got loud!?

Get it fixed and then start using a product which works like Rain-X which is mixed in with a cleaner ( I use Duragloss Rain Repel #751) once a month (easy to use don't have to wait for it to dry, just wipe it on and wipe off while it cleans your windshield. This will make it a bit easier for...

    Passenger footwell water leak?

Welcome to the club...I have 18K miles on my '06 and my began to leak a little into the passenger side compartment (where the electronics are), what I saw was a couple of drops on at the bottom of the small plastic lid which gives you access. When I opened it up I saw a little bit of moisture on...

    curbed my freaken wheel!

Two weeks after I bought my '06 I bought a "New Take-Off" wheel (17" Bullitt) as a spare for $88 (was nearly new...and in perfect shape)...I figure that if I do scuff a wheel I can put that one on and send the damaged one to "Wheels America" and for about $130 they'll fix it and send it back...

IS THERE A WAY AROUND THE TPMS ?

You didn't think that Ford was going to make this government mandated system easy to fool...did you? Granted it's a real pain...COBESGT certainly has provided a viable option...

    First door ding......

bluecar, looks like they did a great job...though I will say that my PDR guy would have easily removed that one (especially after having seen the pic)...I' ve seen a lot worse...bottom line is that you're happy and that's all that counts.

    First door ding......

I have used the same PDR guy for the past 12 years (he used to work for Dent Wizard)...paintless dent repair is the way to go...they can even remove dents from a body line (a good PDR guy can do it)...check with your local dealer to see who they use and believe me they use them all the time...

2006 Mustang GT cabin air filter?

Be sure to put your wipers in the 12 o'clock position before starting...it will make the job a lot easier (and you won't cause any damage to the cowling as you pull it off)...trust me, I didn't do that the first time and I wish I had.

    Saleen Dark Horses....pic

I know that the vehicle looks great when the wheel wells are pretty much filled out...but I've often wondered what happens if you're rolling along around 50MPH and hit a 4 to 5 inch pothole? It seems to me that your tire would then hit the top portion of the wheel well and fender, right? That...

    What gas is everyone using?

Your engine is tuned to run on 87 octane...however, if you hear a little pinging at full throttle (which I did on occasion), then switch back and forth on tankfuls a few times with 89 octane (mid-grade) until the pinging stops...but I will tell you that mine runs better on Shell than on BP or...
