    I feel the house pain, although my situation is backwards. I had a house with a 23'x23' garage. Now live in an apartment with all my tools stuffed in a storage unit 8 miles down the road. Cannot even change my own oil anymore without turning it into a huge production.

    There was this guy in Rochester NY with an early 80's malibu. He had a 454 and some type of centrifical supercharger. Well done car with full cage, big brakes and a 6-speed. The problem was he had crap skinny Cooper tires. We asked him what his drag times were and he said 13.5 at ~130mph.

    What is this thing?

    It's a damper. Helps with a condition called "line hammer." If you are WOT and lift, you get a pressure pulse that can make a thumping noise. That damper is to prevent that noise and absorb some of the pulse to save other fittings from being stressed.

    91. That is what the tune was for. On 93 it seems better, but I cannot always find 93. I just want to adjust the 91 tune to get ride of the ping.

    It is an unchanged Diablo Performance Tune. I'll add a little fuel at a time and see if that helps.

    Did some WOT runs today on 93 octane. Seems to be better. I cannot always find 93 octane though, so what would be the safest thing to adjust, fuel or timing?

    I noticed it autocrossing Saturday and was on 91. I filled up with 93 on the way home and will test it out in a little while. A/F is unknown, running the diablo tune unchanged.

    Using the data log feature of the diablo looks like base tune is 14. At +5500 I see numbers as high as 41.
