    MustangJunkie, It starts small and gets worse. In the begining temperature made a huge difference, but as time went on it just did it all the time. Shifting extremely slow is a way deal with it, but you shouldn't have to granny shift a new car. Good Luck.

    Is it a power seat? I think it is the slop in the worm gear for the forward and back adjustment. I replace the seat and a manual track and the problem went away.

    hauoli63, Did they write it down when you took it in January that it grinded? Just tell them to call their Tech line and read off the parts that I gave you. Those are most of the parts that will be in the magical TSB.

    Remember that it seems to be temperature dependant. If you bring it to the dealership for them to test drive make sure it is cold day and you leave it overnight.

    The temperature has an effect on the viscosity of the transmission oil. Cold equals thick, thicker means harder for the gears to spin up to speed as the syncro engages the next gear. This is why they tried the Synthetic ATF fluid fix. The Synthetic ATF has better low temperature properties...
