    Engine Rocker Arm Adjustment

No if the valve moves at all something isn't right. Are you sure you're on the base lobe, not off by 180 ? Having the timing marker at 0 deg doesn't mean you're at TDC on cylinder 1, it only hits TDC every second rotation. If you're not on base lobe then it'll cause you to not preload the...

Anyone Have 3.73 Gears In Their Auto?

You're right I apologize - but that wasn't my intention to take a jab. It was just a tongue in cheek remark, basically saying I can't help you. I've had manuals with 273, 308, 355 and 410 (this was a new edge not fox though). For manual I would never go higher than 355.

Anyone Have 3.73 Gears In Their Auto?

I've never owned an auto mustang.

    Thoughts On 5w30 Semi Synthetic?

I can honestly say, I have never had an issue, solved an issue, or heard of a legitimate case of anyone else having or solving an issue purely due to changing oil types, except for maybe a drastic change in the weight.

    Power Adders

IMO One of the best things you can do - and it's dirt cheap, is adjust your rockers to reduce the amount of hydraulic lifter preload to a minimal amount, like 0.010 to 0.020". From the factory it is all over the place, but by setting it up carefully you really open up the RPM potential.

Fox Bama 4-bank Eliminator Chip W/ 3 Free Custom Tunes - Is It Worth It?

I almost went down this road then went for the quarterhorse instead and haven't looked back.

    Thoughts On 5w30 Semi Synthetic?

I really don't put much thought into oil, as long as the motor has enough oil, a filter, and its relatively clean it is fine. I just grab whatever dino oil is on the best discount.

Idle Comes Down With Clutch Pedal Depressed???

No problem, next time I'll be more vocal right from the start, I was 99% sure it was the problem but I should have followed up better with you. I chased it around for awhile on my car too.

Idle Comes Down With Clutch Pedal Depressed???

Yes.. like I said right from the very start !! It IS your neutral gear switch (sometimes called 'neutral safety switch' - same thing), that describes the symptoms you are having to a T. It plugs into the front drivers side of the tranny, near the top. You can't replace it without pulling the...

Idle Comes Down With Clutch Pedal Depressed???

Yah man I agree here, it still sounds like the neutral gear switch. So please just clarify one last time, you went under the car, disconnected the wires going to the neutral gear switch at the front/driver side of the tranny, and shorted them together, and this had no effect ?

    Stock Lifters

Sorry I was referring to the mounting.. pedestal (adjustable ?) or stud ? Basically I'm just saying the most important thing is you have a way to adjust them so you don't put a ton of lifter preload down that happens alot when people make h/c/i changes and it can kill your power.

    Stock Lifters

The lifters sit in the block so if they are original lifters+original block I think you are actually better off re-using them. What kind of rockers are you using ? Minimize your lifter preload for best results.

    Mileage Figure

My '92 vert clocked in at 27.2 MPG highway on a 200 mile trip (Pacific Northwest so it's not a prairie flat drive either). Not sure why, that car was a freak. It did 13.8 1/4, stock everything on the motor, just subframes and underdrives. By comparison, my SSP Coupe averages 11-12 mpg. However...

    Clutch Diagnostic

Also, the notchy shifting COULD be just that you aren't getting the clutch pedal all the way down, I noticed in one of your pics some nice looking stainless floor mats, are they maybe impeding the last half inch of pedal travel ??

    Clutch Diagnostic

Is your clutch 'loose' at the top of the pedal ? For like the first 1" or so of travel downwards ? It needs to be loose to ensure the clutch is fully engaged. As for clutch, I stand firmly behind my Autozone Duralast clutch kit...

Idle Comes Down With Clutch Pedal Depressed???

So coming back full circle here... when you said you bypassed it, were you also talking about the clutch safety switch ? If so, then you should try bypassing the neutral gear switch. It's really simple to do, and could well be the cause of your RPM change with the clutch pedal.

    Engine Egr Delete (conflicting Info)

From what I understand putting in the resistors puts the EGR into a state where the computer recognizes it is there, eliminating the CEL, but thinks it is faulty and thus doesn't use it in the tuning. Regardless, I'd recommend get a Moates and taking it out of the tune, it's dead simple...

Idle Comes Down With Clutch Pedal Depressed???

No you are wrong the neutral safety switch does not allow this, the clutch pedal (ie clutch switch) still needs to be depressed to start. The neutral safety switch goes back to the computer and let's the car know if you are driving so it bumps up the RPM a touch, as does the vehicle speed sensor...

    5.0 Bent Pushrod...need Advice.

If it has a bent pushrod that might be the only issue, so you could just replace it and repair/replace whatever part of the valvetrain led to it.
