    Strype's Project Notch

Glad to see its still coming along! I'm not sure how that cam compares...but mine jerks alot at low rpm's as well. I have 3.55 gears and it doesn't seem to help any. I tend to just keep it in a lower gear and be nice and loud with it :D

13 gallons of paint thinner in my gas tank.. peoples reactons?? LOL

Interesting. I spray painted my seats because they were fading. Every time I would drive the car and get back out...they would be all faded again.

    Ignition Powersource Near Radiator?

Thanks! I think my water neck has the hole already in it....it has this crazy big flat head screw on the top of it that I just need to try to loosen. I'm cool with wiring as long as I'm confident on what wires I'm attaching too! Thus I double and triple check before making any actual...

    Ignition Powersource Near Radiator?

Thanks! Yeah, I have a relay that came with the controller. The overflow sensor seems the easiest spot since its right there. Now if I could just find a place to put the temp sensor! The hole in the manifold near the front already has my temp gauge sensor in it. The hole in the aluminum...

    Ignition Powersource Near Radiator?

Hey all....I am installing an electric fan and aluminum radiator. Trying to find the easiest ignition powersource I can towards the front of the car if at all possible. Something I can t-tap. If there isn't any, anything under the hood would be cool....preferably on the driver side. Any...

Since Classic Tech is Striking Out . . .

Get it all done! Good luck with it....not sure what other options you'd have after a crossflow radiator.

Since Classic Tech is Striking Out . . .

Good luck man. I just ordered an aluminum radiator and twin fan setup for my Fox, but obviously yours is a different issue. So if I can decipher your last post.....you are currently running an alum radiator and not the copper right?

    Clearanced Valve Covers

Thanks! Yeah it wasn't the most fun I've ever had, so tedious. It had Comp Cams polymer covers on it which were standard height but completely hollow on the inside. I had them powdercoated and I guess the heat weakened the polymer and they eventually started cracking and leaking. They were...

    Clearanced Valve Covers

 Mine wouldn't line up with the bolt holes until I cut out the sides too. Cool! One of these days I need to either run the 1/4 or get a dyno just to have a baseline in what my car already has, that way I know where I can go! :nice:

    Clearanced Valve Covers

My last set of VC's had no baffle so I have been blowing oil for a long time. I've got a separator already made up. No prob man....get your hands on a junk yard cover and practice....that's what I did. I got one from a friend for free. Mastered the technique and was good to go...

    Clearanced Valve Covers

It wasn't easy. Went from trying a dremel to a hack saw to a few other methods.....easiest method was... Drilling out the bosses, then coming back with an air grinder and 3" cutting blade and just going to town on them. Still took about 4 hours with 2 people working on them. Considering I...

    Clearanced Valve Covers

A few of you have been following my frustration in getting valve covers to fit over roller rockers. I originally thought mine were 1.6 but the documentation I have shows 1.7 rockers. Anyways, I clearanced out some stockers then had them powder coated. Looks black but its actually a very dark...
