    Don't think it's pinging. I have a Shelby GT and I have the same issue. I highly doubt I'd be pinging with no work done to it at all. I run 93 only. Think it may just be the heat shield. No affect in performance at all. God Bless,

    That's a lot of Shelby GT's Where is Mike Bass located? Also, I agree, I have put a few hundred miles on my Dad's Cobra and it will certainly outperform a stock GT in every category. I guess the only thing a stock GT wins in is balance...the Cobra will get away from you if you sleep on it...

    If you can afford it, get the Cobra. :shrug: If not, get a normal GT. Get a Shelby GT if you want one, but the base GT wins in bang for buck. God Bless,

    I'll take pics soon. It's black as well. Decided to keep the black wheels. I went to Vegas for SEMA and fell in love with the Shelby GT. Nice to know I was where my car was Shelby-fied. :D They had thousands of mustangs in their lots. Amazing sight.
