    Mark VIII engine swap

Not bad. I might call the guy back who was selling it for 650 to see if he'll take 500. As much as I want to do this part of me just wants to save as much money as I can so I can buy a used 5.0 a couple years from now. Idk. I think that If I put in 4:10's and got over 300 hp I would be pretty...

    Buying a set of cutouts

Listen to Bhuff30. If you want your car to sound like a piece of ***** then go for it. It will be loud as hell for sure but it won't sound good at all.

    Mark VIII engine swap

Trick flow heads look great but are just a little out of my budget right now. Right now I just work part time at Costco. I am a licensed electrician and do some side jobs here and there but there really is no steady work out here now. That's kinda why I would like to keep the entire build under...

    Mark VIII engine swap

Would 91 octane be sufficient for 12 to 1 compression? That's the highest they sell at the pumps out here in CA.

    Mark VIII engine swap

Honestly I'm new to the whole engine building scene so I don't know too much about it. I've done my own mods like headers, throttle body and other bolt on stuff like that before. What exactly is the benefit of using the pi heads on a 4v block? And If I do the engine swap do you guys recommend...

    Mark VIII engine swap

Just called the guy and he said he only has a 96' left but he'll sell it for $650. He said he gets the cars from auctions, and that this one has around 80k on it. It's already pulled from the car. What do you guys think?

    Mark VIII engine swap

Yeah I'm really not sure which way to go- full Pi swap or Mark VIII engine. I found a guy out in Fullerton who is selling 97 -98' engines for around 950 with the trans and ecu and the harness. Kinda more leaning towards that over the Pi because it seems like you can do more with that block and...

    Engine build ideas

Was thinking of checking the compression. I've been checking around on parts and it seems like it it would almost be about the same to do the pi swap.

    Engine build ideas

So I'm thinking about putting a newer engine in my car and wanted to get some ideas. The engine in my 98 has well over 137k which is what shows on the broken odometer. I don't have tons of cash so here's what I'm thinking of. 2008 4.6 out of a crown vic that has around 15k and swapping the...

    Buying a second vehicle.

You could just take the clutch fan off and put in an electric one and wire it up to a circuit that comes on when you turn on the ignition. If you wanted to go that route.

Love my Stang, but don't know how you guys who drive them daily do it

I drive mine daily because my other vehicle is a 2001 Silverado extended cab long bed and sucks gas even more. Plus its more fun to drive stick shift :D

    Seat electrical harness advice

I need some help swapping a seat out of a Mach 1 in to my 98 gt. The wiring harness does not match up. The only plug that is in the car is a female one with 2 slots. The wiring harness on the new seat has a male 4 pin. Any advice? I'll try to post some pics soon.

Don't waste your money on speed bleeders

Why was it constantly pushing air out? The pedal never stiffened up. It went down like the clutch pedal the entire time.

Don't waste your money on speed bleeders

I did exactly what the man. recommends. Opened 1/4 to half turn attached a hose to it and put it in a bottle with brake fluid and pumped the brakes. All it kept doing was pushing air. The bubbles never stopped. The pedal felt like like ish the whole time. Finally I said F it and just put the...
