    I think you're right on the money Jbauer. Sounds like the ECM needs to adapt to the new IAC. Drive it around for a few days and see if it goes away after you disconnect the battery first.

    Did the car make the noise before you lowered it? It may be the balljoints, as you might be putting a lot more stress on them. You're positive the noise is coming from the rack?

    Sounds like that's more than likely a balljoint. It may also be a bushing in your suspension making the noise, but balljoint is more likely. Especially if there is play in the steering wheel.

    I was having the same problem with my battery constantly dying and I found it was the Mach audio system that was drawing it down after the car had been shut off. I would say you should do a parasitic amperage draw test before you go throwing an alternator on it.
