67 mustang interior courtesy light wiring

My basic nothing six cylinder '67 coupe had all that wiring already in the main harness. To add door lights, underdash lights , and a glove box light required only finding the pigtails. OK, I had to make the harnesses actually IN the door but the pigtails to plug them into were already there.

    1969 15x10 295's for rear. Modifications needed?

Minitubs I suspedt would be best. I haven't gotten around to that area ofd my '69 yet. However I got 295/50/15's under my '67. (Long time ago) Trimmed the snubbers. A narrowed rear and flares. Flares partly because though the quarters were otherwise fine, the wheel well lip was rusted. It has...

    67 Inline 6 200 dual exhaust

Flowmaster makes and sells tailpipes for the mufflers back but for between them and the headers I believe you are on your own.

    C6 Transmission help

Yes it will, even though it is preferable and best practice to remove the speedo drive first.

For Sale 1965 Mustang Barn Find - Super Low Miles - 289 A Code

Just in case you don't know, these cars only went up to 99,999 miles. So once you hit 100,000 all you would see would be zeros on the odometer. That means that unless you have a BUNCH of service documentation it is very hard to prove the car doesn't have 100, 428 miles or 200, 428 miles, etc...

    My 65 needs a motor

I kind of hate to be the guy, but "refuses to restart due to wall-flex."? Seriously? How was that diagnosed exactly? Versus like some of the more pedestrian reasons for hot-start difficulties like a hot starter, or issues with the cables or connections which can be checked by voltage drop...

Installing Cobra engine into an Expedition

If I were looking at doing some such I would simply find an '03 or so wrecked DOHC 300 HP Navigator and swap all the parts over. Too easy, since the vehicles are the same chassis.

    Retrofit a point distributor

At one time years ago we had a 2.3 1986 Mustang with a problematic "feedback" carburetor. Instead of fooling with it I wanted to run a Weber "progressive" 2 barrel I happened to have at the time. After fitting the carburetor the ignition computer was unhappy and the car would often backfire...

    Flex Plate Or Flywheel

Right around 1981 is when they changed the crankshaft imbalance of the 302 from 28 ounces to the ""5.0" style 50 ounce imbalance. That imbalance is critical to flexplate selections. (Flywheels don't flex and are used with clutches, but most folks know what you mean either way.) Pre-1981 302 is...

Post Pics Of How Your Classic Mustang Currently Sits

Creaked out to get dust and cobwebs rinsed off. Had to put shoes on it long enough to go get its paperwork sorted out. That face under the front bumper is pretty much the same as my wife's whenever she looks at this one.

    Old Interior Plastics Help?

Yep, I first ran across Eastwood about 1987 when I bought a spotweld gun from them. This car was only a year old back then, I bought the welder for a '68 Mustang restoration I was doing. I did go back and look again at those panels. The sunburn and scratching wasn't bad at all and I would have...

    Old Interior Plastics Help?

Haven't looked at Eastwood's in particular. I might score some and see how it compares to the Duplicolor stuff. I was curious if someone had found a different option. Some ATV guys are redoing their faded plastic bodywork by giving them a gentle going over with heat guns. Thought somebody might...

    Old Interior Plastics Help?

We've had this car for like 15 years so long term durability is a concern. The panels have been scratched by...life. And small rear seat passengers. A main concern is how the plastic is a bit "crispy" right at the quarter windows. I figure anyone in the south whose car sits outside all the time...

    Old Interior Plastics Help?

The snazzy, but blue, Fairmont dashpad I scored I "dyed" gray and it still looks pretty good. Still not even the same as plastic/vinyl you can clean with whatever and wipe down with ArmorAll without worrying about the color coming off.

    Old Interior Plastics Help?

Specifically the inside big quarter panel trim pieces. Have some on a '86 hatch that are pretty rough with UV fade and abuse from backseat passengers. Finally getting around to working on the exterior of the car and realized I'm going to have to do something about the interior too once the...

    Battery Relocation

Late to the party but it's worth mentioning that all Miatas have trunk batteries. Lots of BMW's do too. It's not that big a deal. Since somewhere in the 1990's Cadillac put theirs under the back seats in most of their cars. Keys are to vent them outside to fresh air and to make sure they are...

Cant line up rear leaf spring!!!

When you have it disconnected so, the shackle can "swing" back and forth. The problem may be with how you have supported the rear end. I bet it made the shackle swing all the way forward or back. Bind on the bushings is making it resist you trying to return everything to position. You should be...

    Faulty Window Regulator?

It's actually the spring inside the crank assembly that's broken, you can't see it unless you drill out the rivets holding it to the regulator"scissors". My 67 did the same thing, difficult to crank up or down and would "fall" down from fully closed. Two ways to deal with this. First and...
