Noticeable Difference between 3.55s and 3.73s?

The 94 up cars got the 2.95 1st gear along with a longer imput shaft that i'm sure of. So...yes there will a noticeable difference in the 2 transmissions.

    700hp 351w 69 block or 94 roller block

I don't have any direct experience with a windsor engine; however, a friend has a 393 in a 69 block. The same question was asked to his engine builder as the retro roller lifters are expensive. The builder stated that the late model roller windsor blocks are weak compared to the early model...

Noticeable Difference between 3.55s and 3.73s?

Which cam did you decide to get? I would stick with the 3.55's for a while. See how they do with your combo. If you need more gear you can always change. If you haven't changed it already your tremec has a lower 1st gear ratio than your stock t-5. In 94 the ratio went to 2.95 where it had...

can i put a 95 cobra intake in my 1990??

I'm sure you could make it fit,but why would you want to? Sell the 95 and buy an intake designed for your car. No need to make life more complicated than it already is.

1 chamber flows sound like 4.6 ? ( i know this has been posted 17,000 times - sorry)

I had a set of mac longtubes, dr. gas x-pipe, and a set of dynomax race magnums welded not the bullets. It had a really raspy high-pitch sound.

Are upper&lower control arms a must have

You can easily make you own subframes. measure the length. go to a metal shop and get someone to cut you the correct length rectangle tubing. 2" x 1" Take it to a muffler shop and have it welded on. Cheap SFCs. Save yourself 100 bucks after the welding is done. As far as upper and...

What do you guys think about this cam?

I think you could get alot more hp out of you current combo with out changing the cam. you need more intake for one. You need to port match the intake to the heads, and put a large throttle body on the car. 75mm or bigger that is port matched to the upper. Probably should go with a track...

    HCI issues after completion

I missed something in you post. You said the car is backfiring. Are you sure you have the rocker arms adjusted properly?

    HCI issues after completion

The knocking that you are hearing...does it happen only when the motor surges or does it happen all the time. Are you sure you didn't leave something in the motor or let something fall on a piston when you were not looking. As far as the fuel pressure goes i would put the kirban back on and go...

    306 combo, What to do?

You may also want to look at a victor jr or torquer II intake if you are planning on running some nitrous. It might not run quite as good on the motor but it will run way better on the gas.

    306 combo, What to do?

Just copy your friends build. If he got 419 hp out of his combo and you figure a 15 % loss to the wheels...thats about 360 rwhp. That's more than enough to go low 12's high 11's depending on the weight of your car and suspension. Throw some gas on it low 11's high 10's.

    306 combo, What to do?

I don't know the stats on the comp 274 but I do know that the afr 185 will out flow the crap out of the RPMs. The 2.02 RPM don't flow but like 220 cfm at .500. That's enough on a stock short block, but the AFR 185s flow like 265 cfm. You might give up 20-30 hp with the RPMs vs AFRs. IMO...

Another how fast will i go.....please guess

Just wondering.... why are you going to spend the money on a forged short block and stop at a 306? If you are going to drop the money for a forged rotating assembly why not go with a 331 or 347? I think your combo would run better that way. I also think you have too much duration on you cam...

    Engine and Transmission

If your going for sheer power and the swap doesn't bother you a windsor is the way to go. A windsor will always make more power in the end. A 302 based stroker will make great power and is much easier to swap. It will never make the hp or brute torque that the windsor will though.

better flow right out of the box: trickflow or AFR ?

You couldn't know unless you tried the two heads back to back on you combo. Kinda worrying over spilt milk. W/O a doubt the 185's would make more hp on a different larger CI engine. You ordered a great set of heads and they will run fine on your engine.

better flow right out of the box: trickflow or AFR ?

BTW you should make more hp than 300 with a nice 306 w/ h/c/i. Why don't you just buy the whole trick flow kit with the stage 2 cam. Its just over 2k and has everything you need for the top-end. Way cheaper than you could buy the parts seperately. It should make around 310-320 rwhp with...

better flow right out of the box: trickflow or AFR ?

Trick flows You know you can get the TW with cnc porting from the factory now. They are really nice. They have a 185cc intake port and flow around 300 cfm which spanks the AFR 185 pretty good. If you are planning on moving up in power later this is the way to go IMO. They still make the...

Dyno run on out of box 393

You really need to throw the stock air box and tubing away. I would go with a 90 mm MA,90 mm throttle body, AFM power piper or something similar, and 3 inch exhaust. I don't know the specs on your cam but I think you should be making another 100hp or more with a good tune.

    Split 5-spoke 96-98 wheels on 5lug Fox?

Or you could put on a set of 98 cobra wheels.
