    A new three-link by Lateral-Dynamics

Yeah, I saw the interesting difference between your stock 302...and your TKO600 ;). Having a TKO600 sitting around myself [and realizing it will get torn up by the monster blown motor that is nearing completion], I said "hmmm...bet he's gonna crank up the ponies before he is done!". I still...

    How about this block.

I don't know about this specific builder, but there are a number of reputable builders who are using ebay as an advertising medium. In general, I just don't think it makes sense to have your block redone by the local machinist...FWIW.

WHAT IS THE BEST 351 BLOCK TO USE?

I'm having a 408 built by McAllister Brothers using a 69 block...and it will have a D2 Procharger feeding it. The car will be more cruise and show than all-out drag [although it will get a few runs...before being thrown off the track!] so I didn't go with a Dart block. Tracy believes we will...

    Modify or restore???

This is always a great topic for me. When I bought my 66 'vert in '79, I immediately did cam/manifold/carb/headers/exhaust ... and would like to have done more, but restomod really wasn't out there [at least to my awareness]. I confess I get quite bored at shows, looking at a zillion restored...

SN65, Bob Kurgan, Speed Inc. Dyno results

Sounds great! KB twin screws are wonderful devices...instant torque at any rpm. My 2+2 will eventually be wearing one [on top of a 331 stroker].

Fuel Injection on Early Model Mustangs

Sorry, but your photo link is empty. I'd really like to see what you've done...but yahoo says "no pictures". Thanks!

New Seat opinions for my 66 coupe

The Summit seat looks like the same generic, Chinese-made seat that is sold under a gazillion different labels. I have a pair of them in a gray fabric, and haven't decided what to do with them at this point. They look a bit on the cheap side up close and personal. I am inclined to go with the...

    Gauge Pod's

Hmmm, I'd also like to see some good pics of the A-pillar pod for a 65-66. I really hadn't given much thought to this approach [figured I'd add gauges where the stock radio lives] but this could work.

    OMG WTF HAPPEND HERE!!!!

Funny to read the crap from a bunch of guys that think 2v-289 w/ stock suspension is all anyone needs to drive. When I bought my 66 'vert in '79, there just wasn't ANYBODY around doing much for performance, so I played with what I could. Cars are built to be DRIVEN!!! Better engine...

    OMG WTF HAPPEND HERE!!!!

Yep, Preston's car is a fine example of SUBSTANCE over style. This is a purpose-built car. I would love to own it, that's for sure!

WARNING: Not for the faint hearted...

Wow...just wow...this shop is creating an entirely new level of incompetence. Do not let them get away with it. As far as wheels coming off...alright, once I forgot to tighten the lugs on one wheel of our Isuzu trooper back in the 80's. The wheel came off and passed us! Interestingly...

    Retrofitting a SN95 dash into a 68

Whew, that is a LOT of fabrication hours! Makes a custom fabricated dash seem reasonable.

Can't wait any longer. Gotta spill the beans

After looking at the cost of aftermarket blocks, I pondered several options. In the end, I have gone with a '69 351W block from a builder I trust. I just can't see the weight and cost of doing a mod motor CORRECTLY...but heh, it's your car!

Hope your fate is better then mine

Last year, I was ready to write a check on the spot for a 2005 GT at MSRP. No haggling...but the dealer wanted a minimum of $4k over list. Bye-bye...love the GTO [>500 rwhp w/ turbo] and my classic Mustangs. The day my wife got to test drive the GTO and agreed it was a LOT nicer car than...

Pics of Boyd Junk Yard Dogs on my 66 fastback- 18s on back, 17s on front- no rubbing

Gee, I was down at the shop today, and the 315's just look too skinny...y'all need to get with the program ;). Looks good! With my failing eyesight I could use bigger pics [and no, I'm NOT talking about the thumbnails].

    Hydraulic clutch kits.....

Keep the info coming, guys. I will need this for the TKO going in the 'vert. Already have the McLeod scattershield, and hydraulics will be needed. For that matter, a clutch recommendation as well. Blown 408W, around 800 crank hp...probably need a multi-disc setup. At least I don't have...

    SN65 at the WFC...

Sounds like a lot of fun. Congrats on the win. Have you shelved the idea of your pseudo-Ferrari Mustang? Haven't seen the thread, nor even a link on your website.

    5.0 headers on 351W in a 65?

Keep the info coming on 351W headers, guys. I am really trying to sort out how to do the headers in my 'vert. As a blown 408W, I'd like 1 7/8 or 2" headers...but will accept 1 3/4 if I have to. I have more room as the shock towers are gone. Also, we're going to push the engine as far down...

How to drag race your classic

Good thread, as these are issues that we are preparing to tackle on my 'vert. I've had an initial discussion w/ Calvert, and hope to get the rear suspension "hookup" with him.

Insane 66 'vert project...a LONG history and current info

If I was starting from scratch, I would likely do something different with the rear end. Initially, my friend the fabricator just talked of moving the leafs, no big deal...and things have just blossomed! For a car like this, the Air Ride rear might have been a good setup as well. This project...
