new to nitrous just need some input

Another cheap option is an electric blanket and power inverter if you have one. It looks pretty ridiculous, but works. Flipping the switch in first is no problem. I know most people say don't spray under 3k, but in first I hit it at 2500rpms, right after I gain full traction.

new to nitrous just need some input

I've got 100k miles and no problems. If I had that many miles though, personally, I wouldn't go higher than a 75 shot. Also, with a 75 shot you don't have to bump down timing (if you can, might go down one degree anyway). Just make sure you run 2 steps colder copper plugs and that you stay...

    Hypertech Power Programmer

Pretty much what everyone else says. The Hypertech is either adding too much timing or leaning it out too much. If you add a CAI or exhaust, it might lean you out a little more, which would cause it to ping. The remedy is to subtract timing or add more fuel, but that's the problem with the...

Strange issue with new DD... please help!

I think the first thing to do is re-flash it back to stock and see if that helps. Beyond that, I'm not too familiar with 5-speeds, but look at the IAC to see if it's maybe hanging open.

OMGGG i found my old mustang

On the plus side, it hasn't been riced out. I had an old v6 mustang that, I was told, within 6 weeks of selling there were altezzas and "racing" stickers on it. Sad, sad. I can't tell in the picture, but is the strut tower brace connected to the upper intake?

    100 shot trap speed?

    See sig. That's with a plenum/tb and cat X-pipe.

35th Anniv Found a perfect 35th on craigslist

If you're in the Houston area and want a 35th, here's a great one. 1999 Mustang GT 35th Anniversary 46,000 miles and only $7,500. I'm half tempted to buy it. Hell of a deal.

Washed her today.. So time for some whoring..

Looks awesome man. Looks a lot like my neighborhood (South of Houston). We had two pecan trees over the driveway, so washing it was always bitter sweet.

So I got a replacement two days ago, be gentle.

I was thinking the other day that F-Body related posts are few and far between. There used to be a few LS1 posts here daily. I haven't been to the track in years, but I really don't see too many clean Z28s or WS6s on the street anymore. Awesome ride man. I remember my first humbling run in...

    35th Anniv IRS Swap

That's awesome. I've heard nothing but positive results from people that have swapped over to IRS. I think I'm going to put a panhard on this summer. Getting tired of the awful roads around here kicking my back end.

What are you guys putting down with a 100 shot?

I know in my car that the worse the 60' is, the higher my trap is generally. I thought it was pretty common knowledge that the more you spin out of the hole, the worse your 60' but the higher your trap is, no?

What are you guys putting down with a 100 shot?

I never dynoed my 100 shot, but I ran/run consistent 109-111 trap times on it (depending on bottle temp). See my sig for one of the runs (with an awful 60', I know).

    99-04's engine/Auto tranny

I can second 4r70w's strength. I've been using a NX kit jetted at 100hp for years. If you put a trans cooler on it, it'll last for a long time at 400hp. I'd imagine that's especially true if it's a centrifugal (less torque and smoother power band).

    35th Anniv 35th Gathering - Summer 2010

Wow, that's really neat! :flag: And I'd love to go to a meet, but there is no way I could travel that far (this summer at least). A great idea though.

You Know You Drive a 4.6 Mustang When...

Not sure if it's been posted.... ...when your significant other seriously asks if you love your car more than her/him. AND ...when you have to put a rag up against the door and the A pillar so water doesn't run in when you're washing the car.

    new pics of my car!!

Looks great man. I'll likely need help with a new tune after this Summer; I haven't heard a bad thing about TSS.

    New Bumper, so new pics!

I don't want to advise you to break the law, but... I've have never put a front plate on my car and have also never been hassled about it. Have you ever been pulled over for not having one? A few of my friends with GTs also don't have front plates and similar story.

Anyone else notice there are a lot of junk 99-04 Mustangs on the road?

What happens to 99-04 V6's that causes the tailpipe to droop almost to the ground? Rubber grommet fails? Over half the V6's I see have a tailpipe that's about to drag on the ground.

THINKING ABOUT BUYING MUSTANG TO STORE...

Just to echo what everyone else has said, one guy stored a 35th Anniversary (same as a GT, but at least somewhat more rare) for about 10 years and sold it for about half sticker. That was with less than 100 miles on it. I just can't see it making you any money. And I don't think I could let...
