    shaker 500 or shaker 1000

The 1000 is for those that like to tell the world you like boom boom boom, whether they want to know or not. GF has a GT convertible with 1000 and hated the room it takes up in the trunk. I pulled the speakers and amps out and we now have 25% more trunk space.

    Engineering whiz question.?!

Interesting problem. I think the best way is to get a small hole saw and put a hole in the bottom of the frame to let the bolts drop out. If you are concerned about weakening of the frame, have a good machinist weld the hole over.

    Trunk won't open

Tri-Flow I had always used WD40. Recently locksmith said only lube to use is Tri-Flow. I live in a desert area and this lube doesn't attract sand and dust. Put it in some sticking locks and it works great. Added: Most likely find it in a bike shop.

    Clunk in front and back....

The car has less than 5,000 miles on it so I would hope it is not the ball joints.

    Clunk in front and back....

Thanks all for your comments. I think it is the suspension bottoming out. I think I will take the first advice; Drive slower over the speed bumps.

    Clunk in front and back....

That's too easy.:) Actually, what I am trying to find out is why my GF's convertible doesn't have the clunk and my coupe does. If there is something that will improve the handling over bumps for my coupe I am interested.

    Clunk in front and back....

2009 GT Premium Coupe. I have a series of minor speed bumps along a road leaving our housing area that I use almost daily. When I drive over those bumps at anything over 20 mph the front and the back clunks. Not a metallic sound, but a loud thunk. My GF has a 2007 GT Premium Convertible that...

Opinions on the value of the NAV option

Both my GF's and my Mustangs did not come with GPS. Recently ordered a Garmin for my Mustang using my credit card points. It is set up for both auto and pedestrian use. Worked so well we ordered another one for the GF's Mustang using the points on the credit card we share. Easy to get by...

How many people here really think they are never gonna sell their Mustang and why?

I will keep mine until I die. I am 69 and after driving my GF's Mustang convertible decided I wanted a Mustang also. Thoroughly enjoy driving it. I have a beater Camry that runs very good and I use it when I will be around the numb nuts that open car doors with no regard to other cars. My...

    SCT tuner info.

I currently have a SCT from Brenspeed and am planning on adding a CAI. I talked to Brenspeed about meeting smog testing in CA. Their tunes normally turn the rear O2 sensors off so if the testing station uses an OBII scan your car will fail. To pass smog testing you need to order smog testing...

    Shaker 1K Rear Spkr Delete

GF has the 1K Shaker in her 2007 GT convertible and does not like how much room it takes up in the trunk. Saw a thread where someone took the trunk speakers out. Can this be done by just unbolting and unplugging? If not, what needs to be done? By the way, we never have the boomer on so we'll...

SOMEONE BACKED INTO MY '07 GT/CS HELP!

I had about 400 miles on my 2009 black GT when someone parallel parking in the space behind my car dented in the left rear quarter panel and left side of the bumper. The best body shop around my area suggested I go to the shop that does all their paintless dent removals. Cost $225 to get the...

Good Deal on a 09 GT?

I got $5,800 off msrp on an 09 GT premium coupe with a bunch of extras. Purchased cash. No rebates were available when I purchased (missed one by a couple of days). I do not think this was especially good and anyone should be able to do as good or better.

    GT Handling Pack...

I have a 09 GT Premium Coupe that is 100% stock with 18 inch wheels and approximately 1,000 miles. This is my first Mustang although my GF has a 07 GT convertible. I am interested in adding a handling kit and CAI. I will never take it to the drag strip so am only interested in a boost in...
