    I just changed my tranny fluid today, tremec recommends dextron/mercon III at the quantity of 3.0 to 3.2 liters. I did around 3.4 and it shifts much smoother.

    the fuse might have blown again? You might try and follow the cable and see if its cut anywhere.

    J-mod is pretty easy, we did it in a few hours. It definately wakes the shifts up, especially with a handheld tuner. http://www.tccoa.net and http://www.crownvic.net/tech/4R70Wnotes.pdf both have the info you need to do it.
