    www.clubsi.com I hate ricers...

Yeah, I wasn't meaning to hate on you, the civic looks better now than when you first got it. They were probably just young punks who wanted to hate on your car for no reason. I wouldn't take it personally. But, as far as your problem... I was doing some thinking...who did your install?? I've...

Im debating between 2 different tires, please help!

I have the BFG's on my stang, and have no complaints. I haven't had a chance to take them out to the track yet though, but for normal city driving/little bit of abuse when I feel like it, they do just fine!! :nice:

What are some good performance tires?

My buddy has the Nitto DR's on his Stang in 315's. They are sweet, however, since they are a DR, they wear quite a bit quicker than a normal treaded tire, but the traction is uncomparable. Plus, since we live in the desert, there is no risk of lack of traction in the rain!!:nice: However, they...

    What have I done?

I think it's cool that you guys have a project to work on..wish my dad would've done that with me. Anyways, I would suggest not to go with a Saturn, they are pieces of crap. I know you are getting it for cheap, but why not go with an older stang, or something else you can work on with him, and...

    www.clubsi.com I hate ricers...

Yeah, i would've called you a ricer too...sorry man. There is this huge revolution of Honda owners that fix their cars up with the loud ricer exhaust, the huge muffler, but that's it, maybe simplistic wheels, etc..They go for a "japanese" look and hate on their fellow Honda owners that ruin the...

    Tranny Oil Change

the drain plug is on the very bottom of the tranny (pointing towards the ground). It is towards the end of the tranny (towards the rear end) & it is in the dead center of the car. Once you get under there you will see it.:nice:

    Trans shifting question 99-04 GT's

I'm assuming you have a stock shifter...My tranny wasn't that hard to shift w/ the stock shifter on it, but it had quite a few miles on it when I first picked it up, so it may have been broken in..?? I recently installed a short shifter & changed the tranny fluid, which made the shifting...

    Double clutching

I have heard that double clutching is useful in road racing now-a-days..but now with the clutch-less shifting, I'm sure that's going to go away too!!

    Tranny Oil Change

I ended up doing my tranny fluid change, when I did my short shifter. If you are at all considering a short shifter, I would suggest waiting until then to change the tranny fluid. If you don't fill your tranny through the shifter opening, then you have to get a pump, or I've heard some have...

    School me on lowered Mustangs

No, the size of the shock/strut stays the same. Basically a new shock will have a different rate at which it moves, so it will cause the car to handle/ride differently. Any new shock will be helpful for a lowered vehicle, because, like was stated earlier, the new springs cause the car the have...

    Gear?

3.27 are the factory gears for the GT's. Upgrading to a 3.73 gear is almost as big of a jump as the difference between 3.73's and 4.10's. As was said before, it usually depends on what route you are going with your stang. I know I am staying N/A, therefore 4.10's will be the better route for...

    Eeek...troubling buying a car

I work at a Credit Union here in AZ...You shouldn't have any problems getting the cash you need. We would have that kind of funds on hand every day without a problem. However, what most people are doing now-a-days are getting "cashiers checks", or "official checks". They are bank checks...

Regular tokico shocks/struts ok for lowering?

Yeah, I think it's safe to say that the Steedas, Tokico's, Eibach Pro-kit, & the FRPP "C" springs will all give you ROUGHLY the same drop 1.25-1.5" front, 1-1.25" rear. It seems that the H&R's and the Eibach Sportlines are the one's that "slam" the stangs. I have the Eibach Pro-kit + Tokico...

    What are These Rims worth?

Yeah, the bullitt wheels are a dime a dozen. I'm not even going to try selling mine, just keeping them as a backup set. I was a little confused though, how do you plan on selling your stock bullitts, then applying those funds towards getting new wheels...won't you need to get the new wheels...

    pulling car! grrrr

What suspension do you have?? If your car is lowered, and you never got an alignment, then you deffinetley need one!! If you have stock suspension, then it might be time that your car needs one. My stang was barely pulling to the right after I did my suspension. I went and got it aligned...

    transmission fluid level

yep, I checked the factory manual, it had the amount in liters, which sucks because you don't buy liters of tranny fluid. Anyways, I did the calculation from liters to quarts, it came out to 3.25 quarts. :nice:

    ok here is my delima

If they are the bright blue ones (and only blue) then they are probably the Tokico HP's. Bilsteins are blue/yellow, but I don't think you would be having many problems those, since they are of such high quality. The shocks you have might be blown, but I'm thinking new DR's would help you more...

Love My Stang On LOW FUEL!!

So my "LOW FUEL" light came on this morning, and I couldn't help but give it some speed. Wow, what a difference between a full tank of gas, and almost no gas. The car seems to accelerate so much faster, and the handling feels more aggressive with all of the weight up front. I'm almost tempted...
