    Other than gears...

If you've got a manual transmission then there's no need to fear 4.10's. I've got 3.73's in my 4R75W auto trans and I take highway trips as well at 3000rpm/85mph. You should invest in an aluminum driveshaft (250 bucks) and a nitrous kit (700 for kit, window switch, purge). Spend the rest on...

    Stall Converter?

From what I've heard, you can go as steep as you want. If you have 2nd 3rd and OD locked out on your tune, then it will drive just like stock. 1st gear will remain unlocked, as that's the only gear where you would really benefit from the TC.

    Is he insane?

What a dumbass - I would have asked him if he's looked on craigslist or ebay lately. You could get a Mach1 for the price of their GT, less miles too.

Help - Not Much Info on Shorty Headers

Forget about the shorties and go longtubes. They actually produce gains that are visible on a dyno chart - unlike the shorty's - and if you find a shop that knows what they're doing you can get it installed quick. Labor on my install was $250. My driver side header scrapes, just barely, and not...

    Pony Wars 2010

Anyone going to this? We have a few members from our local club heading out, didn't know if I might get a chance to see some folks from Stangnet there too. I think I'll be one of the slowest cars there. Hopefully there will be some other street cars - I'd love to get a chance to blow the doors...

    Tune Up

If you have that type of mileage, it may be wise to replace oil pump and starter, while you're in there toss on a new timing set. With those things you should be able to keep going to well beyond 200k miles.

Need better traction at the track

I thought that out of the springs that will lower your car, they were the least stiff. Eibach Drag's not really being a lowering spring. My C springs feel soft - maybe my shocks are going?

Need better traction at the track

Cheap fix - relocate battery to trunk to get some weight on the rear after you install your UCA/LCA (the control arms make a big difference). If you go with Eibach drag springs or Ford C springs you will see bit of an improvement with your weight transfer, which will affect traction and 60 foot...

    Considering cams, few questions.

If you plan on driving the car hard, and keeping the car long term then you might as well replace it while you're doing work in that area. Killer price. You will need a timing cover gasket as well, which is cheap. $300 insurance policy on your valve train and pistons.

    Considering cams, few questions.

Do yourself a favor and pick up the TrickFlow timing chain set. While you're swapping the cams, replace the timing cover gaskets, Valve Cover Gaskets, install the TF timing set (new cam gears, steel guides/tensioners instead of plastic, better chain). This costs about $400 for those parts. I've...

    Any girls on this forum?

Get out to the track and you will meet some ladies that either like cars or like working on cars. If my girlfriend wasn't interested in going to the track or going DOWN the track, then it would replacement time. This is us staged up at SGMP for the Quick 16 race for Tally Muscle vs. Tally Imports.

Looking for Good Looking Light Weight Wheels

5 spoke alloy wheels with the "argent" finish, like I have, are 17lbs each. 17x8. They came stock on the Premium GT's.

    true or false

It should bolt on, but not sure if what the flow would be like. Have you already done the swap?

    I need more speed!

My car is an automatic and I noticed this problem after I got my 3.73's installed. Took it out to the track and ran it with OVERDRIVE off, and as soon as I hit 100mph - righ on the buzzer - the car would maintain speed but not go any faster. Next run I turned O/D off and I broke through 100 no...

    00 Gt wheels

    CORRECTION http://www.stangnet.com/mustang-forums/285393-official-wheel-weight-thread.html 17x8" GT 99 satin - 17lbs

    00 Gt wheels

If they are the 5 spoke "premium" alloy wheels, argent/silver colored, then they're about 21.5 or 22lbs if I remember correctly. They're almost as light as the Saleen's and much cheaper.

    worthless question..

Hey Rusty, the gains may be as low as 10-15rwhp with stock cams. Do you have longtubes? Are you a TMCA member? If so, call up Tony or Danny @ Jaws Racing. They've done some excellent work + tuning on my car since I moved to Tallahassee back in April. With an aggressive cam + intake manifold +...
