Was this response intended for the 'alignment woes' thread? :rlaugh:

    Waiting On Your 2006 Order?

I ordered mine on 7/14 from North Central Ford in Richardson, Tx. It's a Torch Red GT Coupe Deluxe, Dark Charcoal Leather, IUP, Wheel Locks, and Rear Spoiler Delete. I went with the standard equipment tranny of course, which is the 5-spd. manual. Can't wait to get it - replacing my '98 Cobra...

    05 Mustang "GT500 Legend"

We finally get a mature Mustang design that doesn't need to be propped up with fake scoops, and the first thing a lot of people want to do is add them back on! And pay good money to do it. To each their own. No offense of course. :)

    Introduction and question

I would try the factory mufflers with the x-pipe if you're not running cats. I think it would sound very nice, and you wouldn't have a MAC product on your car. Win, win... I'm not a fan of MAC products, but they may have improved on their quality since my last exposure to their parts...

    Mother nature destroyed my baby.

Your car looks great, even with the hail dings. Best looking '05 I have seen. I saw you today on Renner (I was in the yellow '98 Cobra). Sorry about your misfortune - definitely seek the paintless method. They can perform near miracles.

    05 Dyno / Product Testing

I wonder how much Ford will close that gap with the next Cobra? That's asking quite a lot as the Z06 is pretty good all around, but it's fun to dream... :D

    Interesting '05 Mustang Project Car

That 60 degree V looks strange after being around 90 degree engines for so long. I wonder what it weighs relative to the stock 4.6 3V? Also, what is the displacement of that engine? Looks pretty compact for a V12.

Magnaflow system from the back of the car- OE muffler visibility vs Magnaflow

It does look nice, although I'm not troubled in the least by the visible stock mufflers. They are where they belong finally.

    Mach 1 vs. '05 GT

Nice to have a Ford at the top of the domestic food chain. :hail2:  Even if I can't afford it...

    Mach 1 vs. '05 GT

You just happen to own a Mach 1... :) Hey I have a '98 Cobra. What about getting some '05 GT vs. '98 Cobra threads going reminiscent of all of the '99 GT vs. '98 Cobra threads? 'Cause no way is the '05 GT faster than a 'Cobra'. :D

C&L Performance cold air/MAF/intake testing on '05 GT

Does the air filter remain in the air box, or is it an open element? Is the piece cast aluminum? Does it incorporate a 'sample tube' like their other designs? Nice gains - Lee and co. will sell a bunch of these!

300HP? Thats It...Whats wrong with Ford

Like you said, they have the SVT Cobra for those types. Ford could have easily just carried over the old iron 260 hp 2V for the first couple of years, and then added the aluminum 3V. But instead, they have made the most powerful GT ever, with an all-aluminum 3V, complete with VCT and cool...

300HP? Thats It...Whats wrong with Ford

No they didn't. If you want more power, why not just wait for the SVT? 300 hp is about what the Cobra had in '96-'98. They're not going to give you everything in the first model - they have cars to sell later as well. :D Look at that ridiculous (but cool) Chevy SSR truck. It came with...

18hp/18tq - SHM dyno 05 GT with JBA exhaust

That would be cool, albeit expensive. Unfortunately, they're just using 'titanium' to describe the color of one of their available header finishes.

    Whats this?

Roush. That was the first thing that came to mind when I saw it, but it looks a little better than the final Roush version, right? That threw me a little. I honestly think the next SVT will be a lot 'cleaner' looking than that, much like the GT. There may be a functional twin hood scoop...

    Whats this?

Wow! Oops, or deliberate? I haven't seen that front fascia yet. It looks to have a ducktail and window louvers as well. What's the article about? The interior? :D

    Disapointing top end performance?

Hmmm... The mighty LS2 is supposed to have a broader torque curve than even the 405 hp LS6, probably due in large part to the extra stroke. Both motors pull pretty hard up top though. I really like the idea of a 5.4 3V in the new Mustang, both s/c and n/a versions. Hope it comes to fruition.

    07 Cobra information, specs/prices/due date

Hmmm... Look at the blue Mustang in the background behind Phil Martens - look at the hood. What is that, a Mach 1 prototype?

Car and Driver Review- 05 Stang vs. 05 GTO

I really couldn't care less about how many other people own the car I have as long as it's the car I want. Every one of my neighbors could have the same car in the same color, and it wouldn't bother me. Mine would be better, of course... :D

    07 Cobra information, specs/prices/due date

What difference does it make in how the power is made? Ford has smaller engines, so the blower is the great equalizer. We just get a broader torque curve. :D The Ford GT - that is as 'upscale' as it gets, and it's s/c'd. :)
