    largest cam in a 86?

Since no one really knows how to answer my first questions, here's another for you. So you're going to use notched pistons... good idea. You talk about using 1.7 ratio rockers... could be good, could be bad. What springs are you going to use and where are you from coil bind? You really...

    largest cam in a 86?

Why is it going to "hit"? Explain why please. I also want to know if you've done this yourself? I'll give another hint; I can have a camshaft with 1.0" of lift and it won't hit the piston...

    largest cam in a 86?

How does "lift" have anything to do with pistons having or not having valve reliefs? I assume you're talking about piston/valve interference? Hint; the piston is moving.

86' what? HO? If it's speed density, IMO you need to chose very wisely.

    86/87 Help needed asap...

I'm pretty sure but not positive your 86' is "speed density" and the 87' is MAF. If you can find a good, stock 87' HO camshaft and the MAF upgrade stuff, that take advantage of the slightly better heads everyone is talking about.

getting ready to do rear suspension

What are you going to do with the front suspension? A BB, headers, K-member, control arms pretty much leaves no room for any one of these. Where are you going to put the #1 spark plug in reference to the spindle centerline? IMO, you're going to have issues with your CG, instant center and...

    Stroker Owners Question

There are some steel cranks such as Scat which are more than enough to handle 6500rpm. Steel Scat will go internal, but the forged Scat will be difficult to get to zero balance... not worth it. If your goal is only to 6500rpm, 28oz external will be more than sufficient (cost vs value) It is...

    windshield removal

I replaced mine. I heated the edges with a heat gun a little, then poked some .032" lockwire through, tied wood dowels to each end of the wire and pulled it around the windshield. The only tedious part was shimming the new window in... so save your shims and re-use them.

Anyone Build Their Own 4 Link?

If you're interested... I made my own double adjustable uppers and lowers but no spring perch as I'm using a relocated coil-over setup. I have pictures of my build here; Road Race 86' Fox If you have questions, hit me up... I'd be happy to help out where I can. I used chromemoly tubing...

does the new 302 boss block use canted heads?

I find that slightly difficult. What is your average cc for the combustion chambers? I am assuming these are 4v closed chambers since there's no way in hell you're gonna get 11:1 from the open chambers. Just to be clear here... we are talking about "canted" valve Cleveland, not the C3 yates.

    Cobra brakes on a fox

This is my 96' spindle with a strut attached. The two holes in the spindle are for the caliper, which bolts directly to it. The difference between the 95' and earlier spindles are about 3/10" in track width. Everything else remains close to identical. I will double check my junk for a...

I have the Cobra brakes on my 86'... I'm unaware you need a special bracket to make work with the spindles. Are you trying to relocate the calipers?
