    i to bought the 2'' spacer for my other car, but i went the other route and put a 5.0 in it. i also have a long tube header and ajustable cam sprocket. my 87 has pro stars 4:10s ,big vam, aremotive reg.,brown tops, lb3 comp. and 5 speed. i have complete turbo set up waiting to go on with volvo...

    garry, how does the 2.3 like the carb. does the rpms come up quick?and how does it run on the street?i was thinking of building a 2.3 for drag racing with nitrous.port the hell out of the head,500 carb,forge pistons,goood cam and suspension.any help would be good!

    i did this swap lb3 comp. big vam and injectors[35s] my car runs better but between 2500 and 3500 my car pings. could this be the timing? its set at 10 degrees and my fuel is 26 plugged up and in the 30s unplugged.What Do You Think?

    red lx, your saying a long tube header gives you low end torque? i had a ranger header and a long tube header and got more torque down low with the ranger. then put the long tube on and got more in the upper rpm. also JC Whitley still sells the flang to hook up to these headers,but if you buy...

    and yes the header for the 80s mustang would work. depending on the header you go with there will be some mods you will have to do to the O2 and egr.

    JamesBaumann, i think i payed 140 shipped from RacerWalsh. the header is still in good shape, but if your looking for lowend tq. i would say ranger header.

    i put my header on and felt more power in the mid to upper rpm range but thats where i like it. some low some high! mine is a pacesetter and fits perfect.
