    2012 BOSS 302 - It's Here!

not sure if I'm a huge fan of the looks :/ I'm curious what they did to get the power.. whether it was simply from the exhaust and intake/tune or if there's actually something DIFFERENT in the motor itself. Seems like you could mod a stock 5.0 to more or less boss specs for (what I'm guessing...

Ford Mustang and Chevy Camaro go flat out in the flats

+2 Saw the episode as well and though it was cool to see some high hp cars duking it out, the other episodes with stock cars (Zr1 vs Viper and GTR vs 911 turbo) were much more evenly balanced and seemed like more legit concrete numbers. There is so much that can go wrong or variables that...

ProCharger supercharges the 2011 Ford Mustang GT 5.0

It should come with a new set of shelby rods hahaa

ProCharger supercharges the 2011 Ford Mustang GT 5.0

Ford engineers specifically said that the rods in the 5.0 were too weak to handle boost..... should be interesting to see how long engines last with this kit :p

2010+ HIDs are UGLY as heck!!!

all the HID's are hideous little beady-eyed abominations IMO. There's no reason ford should have used projector lenses on the mustang. big round lamps are the only acceptable look if you want to stay true to the old school look.

2010+ HIDs are UGLY as heck!!!

Here is what you do. You buy the car without the HID's Then you pay $50 for a set of LIFETIME WARRANTY HID's from Sharp and spend that extra $475 on something more useful. Or get a second pair for the fog lights SharpHID - Automotive HID Xenon Conversion Lighting And that's that...

    HELP,,, 3.31,3.55 or 3.73 for 2011-5.0-GT?

When I had my 97 GT (auto) the 3.73's made virtually no difference in acceleration.. just drank more gas. When I put the 4.10's in, HUGE difference in acceleration and still to this day, unexplainable better gas milage on the interstate vs both the 3.73's and stock gearing. I think in the...

HDR Images: Learn and share your work...

Where's all the mustangs?? :D Sorry I have none to contribute. I parted ways with my GT before I got into photography... With any luck, I can post HDR's of a new 5.0 in a few months or so. This is after a fresh coat of some (borrowed) expensive Wolfgang wax.. Not bad for a 12 year...

Who will be the first to release aftermarket parts for the 2011 6 cylinder and 5.0

I agree the black would look better with the black engine cover. CX does powder coating for a few bucks more though. It'll be interesting to see who's intake can deliver the most power without needing a tune. That'll be the real deciding factor though I suspect they'll only have a few hp...

    Goodbye '08 Hello '11

Congrats on the new ride! The 2011 DEFINITELY needs some sort of chin spoiler. Wonder if the shelby's will fit?

    New 2011 V6 Video

Sort of reminds me of the Nissan's exhaust note. The VQ35 is easily one of the best sounding V6's in current production.

Who will be the first to release aftermarket parts for the 2011 6 cylinder and 5.0

$400 for an intake is actually about the norm. They're never cheap when the competition is all that price. These intakes aren't hard to make at all, ESPECIALLY now that the 5.0 has a circular throttle body opening. I'll be making mine whenever I snag a 5.0. It's the MAF housing that...

    Thinking bout an '11 (5.0 vs GT500)

a buddy of mine has a 2010 CTS-V with a pulley/intake/tune and makes around 550 to the wheels and runs mid 11's. Really nice ride but definitely a sleeper look.

    Thinking bout an '11 (5.0 vs GT500)

Yeah and to a degree, some practicality has to come into play... Both the GT and the shelby have enough power to destroy most every car on the road and for daily driving, the GT will have enough power to handle itself well around town and on the highway. It seems like the shelby has...

    Thinking bout an '11 (5.0 vs GT500)

The problem is that it's not any good without money put into the suspension. The GT500 can't efficiently put the stock power to the ground, let alone 50~150 MORE from mods. this was a big turn off for me and a very real problem for guys with RWD cars making big power. A friend of mine has a...

    Thinking bout an '11 (5.0 vs GT500)

You can probably surpass GT500 performance for less $$ into power and more into suspension. You can always spend 7~10K in the suspension with a new k member, A arms, coilovers, watts rear end, control arms, etc and run circles around a GT500 at the track. (if that's what you're after) Or you...

Some help with 2011 suspension !!

I think that the 2011 shelby suspension would be a good upgrade for better handling and daily driver comfort. It was a popular mod for the 2008~09 GT500's to put the KR suspension bits on as they were a fraction of the cost of the aftermarket stuff and compared quite well when it came to...

    HELP,,, 3.31,3.55 or 3.73 for 2011-5.0-GT?

If you're taking it to the track a lot. It's not an issue for daily driving. You can always upgrade pads and stainless steel lines for better feel and stopping. and you can always upgrade to big brakes later down the road if the stock brakes do end up needing to be swapped. I just don't...
