    this is easy stuff.. you can do it!! try doing it with as little gas in the tank as possible...makes a huge difference.. gasoline weighs about 8 pounds per gallon..

    as said there is nothing engine related that would cause this to happen. but your alarm system would.. this happened to my cousin but not so bad, he was setting up his alarm system and had to set his transmitter to his new alarm as he was going through the directions... the garage door...

    if you are trying an autozone part it wont be right.. they are the biggest ****ups out there.. their computer system sucks and is constantly wrong.. their parts are cheaply made, and most that work there havent got a clue about cars nevermind car parts....if your looking for the correct parts...

    if you havent already cleaned the maf, clean it with rubbing alcohol and a kids cheap paint brush. dip the brush in alc; wipe the wires gently, reinstall..

    the paper clip is for testing.. having it in ensures that the ecm is being told that it is at max temperature.. by unplugging it, it would read -40f degrees..... by inserting the paperclip you are now telling the ecm that its 300f+...

    the reason i told you to disconnect the m.a.f. is to see if it would run,,and it should have even with it unplugged..when it didnt i knew the m.a.f. could not compensate for a vaccum leak.. which you had because the iac was wide open. glad i could help..
