    Yeah I agree with you guys on that - looks better with the intercooler...I think the thing I dont like about the 01 is the slope when you look at it from the front though: vs. the straight edge of the 03: Just an opinion though...both look good in their own right

    How much is too much?

    Somewhere around 12 grand - including rims, tires and the occasional trans rebuild :) Only thing saving me is having a Dad who's a master tech who owns every tool imaginable (including a lift). Say goodbye to labor costs! :banana:

    So you'll fail inspection with stock 96 GT exhaust AND if you have any aftermarket parts!?? Sounds like a major PITA to own a Mustang in Germany... Do they fail you if your CEL is on? Because a cheap exhaust mod (like shoving brillo pads up your tailpipes) might cause problems with the O2s

    Installing gears...Need some help!!

    +1 Great advice. 3.73s were my first mod - car had 112k - marked the driveshaft as Ghost said and I've never had a problem. As for the bearings, I'd change them - makes sense if you already have it apart. Plus, its a good feeling knowing you have all new components back there.

    Tranny swap?

    Thats really just a question for yourself...I had my 96 auto for about a year before I made the swap, and I've NEVER regretted it. If you really have no desire to sell your car but really want a manual, then the extra work and money involved is well worth it.

    My P1SC barely makes any noise at all. The only time you can really tell its there is when you shut the car off because the last thing you hear is the high-pitched whistle... The exhaust completely drowns it out at all other times though.
