    Vent Window Delete Kit??

    I tried to research a kit to delete the front vent windows and make the door windows a solid piece of glass. I've seen it done, but don't know if it is available in kit form. Has anyone heard or know of a kit for this conversion? I would like to do this on my 67 FB. Thanks!

    Yeah, that's what I hear. I have a nine, but I'm considering an 8.8 due to it's lighter, steals less power and there are plenty laying around. I noticed your at Buckley AFB. I'm at Sheppard AFB. What's up brother? Your not wasting Gov time on Stangnet are ya? :flag:

    Renting a car hoist???????

    I built my own car rotisserie for my underbody work. It took about a week to build and around $500 or less for materials. I posted some pics of it on this forum a long time ago. I just wish I had it before I did my floorpans, it would have been a lot easier and cleaner.

    You don't want to use the home store stuff. I thought about using it too. But after a little research and some good advice from some of our StangNet brothers, I've reconsidered using it. Go for the stuff that was designed to put into car frames. The home store stuff will not always set up...

    Sure, I don't have a problem with that. It would just be a pain to transport this thing, unless you have trailer. I don't know if it would bolt up to your 70 like it did to my 67, but if your willing to give it a try let me know the measurements off your car and I could compare it to mine...

    Amen brother. That's one of the reasons I started this post. I wanted to let everyone know that stuff like this exists and the benefits from it. Sound deadening, moisture resistance, lessening vibration, chassis stiffening. All pluses in my book. :nice:

    Ooohhhh, let me tell you. It's great to roll this thing over and do whatever needs to be done with not a care in the world. Plus the quality of the work will be soooo much better. I'm telling you, you need one, not want one.

    Was it something along the lines of paint stripper? I don't have a lot of undercoating it's just alot of grease and dirt. The undercoating that is there looks like it was put there by a previous owner in the wheel wells.

    Just one more way to soundproof and eliminate noise and vibration. Plus eliminating areas to accumulate dirt and moisture.
