    Anybody use the 1" wheel spacers from 50resto.com?

    The price they have listed is far better than anything I can find on Eibach Pro Spacers or H&R/Maximum Motorsports, so I was just wondering about the quality & fitment of the 50resto spacers. They will be mounted with the stock 10-spoke 17"x8" rims on my '98GT. Thanks!

    IAC valve

    I also noticed strong fumes when the IAC on my car went bad (sorry, but I don't know exactly why). I wouldn't worry as much about the 1/4 mile times as I would the annoyance of trying to keep the car running!

    If you have to keep your foot on the accelerator just to keep the car idling, then you need to replace the IAC. Cleaning it won't really help, because the valve seems to just wear out (a good way for Ford to continue making $65+ from us every few years).

    Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR) is the weight each axle -- on both the trailer and tow vehicle -- can support. This is usually only important for trucks or for towing.

    How do x-pipes differ?

    Well, you'll soon discover when it comes time to change your transmission fluid that you can't drop the pan without removing the X-pipe. The pan drops easily between the factory "H." It would make sense for Ford to use "X" pipes, because they could charge more labor for tranny fluid changes...

    MagnaFlow or MagnaPACK..What's the differance?

    Yes, it is! :nice: The sound of weld-in Magnaflow mufflers (combined with a catted X-pipe) is deep but mellow. They kind of "gurgle" at idle, and get substantially louder as you step on the gas! It definitely doesn't sound like your typical Flowmaster Stang.

    Placement of the crossover makes a difference in sound. Some companies connect 4 pieces of pipe to a central "X" piece; whereas, some other companies (VRS, for example) simply weld the 2 pipes together. I'm sure that this also makes a difference in sound. Furthermore, catalytic converters...
