    LRS 4lug rear disc conversion...

OK - NOW I can see where the savings would be. I've already swapped rear gears and have been looking into just doing the rear disc conversion with my existing axle set up. So, based on what I have been reading and the input here, I'm still comfortable with the SSBC rear disc conversion as a...

    LRS 4lug rear disc conversion...

I've been reading that site that lists the parts you need to get to do this conversion. But I'm not finding the huge price savings (unless I'm just not shopping the right places). Northracecar Brakets: $160 New master cylinder: $100 (2) Cobra rear calipers (with pads): $200...

    LRS 4lug rear disc conversion...

I put that kit on my previous '92 and was very happy with it. I know there might be less expensive ways to gather everything you need to do this, but I wanted a COMPLETE, NEW kit. I didn't want to have to worry about finding pieces and parts all over the place (brackets, fittings, variety of...

    Check Oil Light?

If the oil level was OK, you might have a faulty oil level sending unit.

    3g alternator upgrade kit

That's what I thought. I have to see how much wire I have left coming off that plug. If it's enough, I'll splice the stator connector to it. If not, I found two places that have a replacement plug. Late Model Restoration and Mustangs Unlimited have the plug and I can just splice it in...

    3g alternator upgrade kit

I have a question in regard to this. I just did this install this weekend. Everything seems to be charging fine except now I have a battery light on in the car. I'm suspecting I screwed up on the stator plug wire. I had two plugs going to my stock alternator. One (oval) plug had two black...

    Need a New tranny

As long as the case is solid (ie. no cracks, chunks missing, etc.), a rebuild would be your best bet. Get a kit - possibly look into upgrading it to a World Class or something a bit stouter than the stock T-5.

What's the story with your 'stang?

Back in '92 I bought my Deep Emerald Green LX Hatch. My uncle (in South Carolina) also bought a '92 Deep Emerald Green LX Convertible. He immediately sent it to Steeda for some motor work. I spent the next 8 years upgrading my ride as well. Sold mine in 2000 (wife, house, two kids, etc.) and it...

    4-lug brake options (??)

I would definitely do the rear disc conversion - either from a turbo coupe or the SSBC. I preferred the SSBC kit because it was a COMPLETE kit (master cylinder as well) and all new pieces. I'd rather use that than have to piece together other parts - but some have had great success piecing...

    4-lug brake options (??)

SSBC makes a nice, complete rear disc conversion kit. Had it on my '92 hatch and was very happy with it. Improved braking performance and feel. I know there are some kits to improve the front set up as well (pads, pins, and braided lines). There might even be some big brake kits for the front...

strong vibrations and surging after intake install

My first reaction is that you're firing order is messed up. Did you remove the plug wires when you replaced the intake gaskets? I would double-check to make sure they're all going to the proper plugs (a no-cost fix). Seems like you did SOMETHING while changing the gaskets...

    lean issue....weird miss...help

Sounds like a potential vacuum leak somewhere. Double-check all your hoses and possibly test the intake seals.

    50Restos Wheel kit question

I got the Cobra R Rims (chrome 4-lug)/Summitomo Kit from them last year and had no issues whatsoever. They were delivered mounted and balanced right to my door. Picked up the chrome lug nut set as well (gave me a discounted price since I bought the rims and tires). I'm actually selling my pony...

Should I get Rubber or Poly Control Arm Bushings?

Check the Maximum Motorsports site. There is a recommendation with a description as to why they suggest the newer rubber bushings as opposed to anything stiffer for the upper control arms.

WTF!!! Car is all over the place when hitting a bump or on highway

Even after reading all this, my first reaction still stands: Either bushings or tie rods (or both). The A-arms shouldn't be able to slide around on the bushing like that...so that is NOT helping your situation. Good luck and keep us posted.

Transmission Fluid Change 2000 Mustang GT Manual

Are there any benefits/drawbacks to using a synthetic? (ie. benefit of longer life, better gear protection / drawback - too slick for the synchros to work properly)?

Turn signal help for a 90 GT

Yes - check/replace your ignition switch. Typically, if the turn signals AND the HVAC controls go, the stupid ignition switch is the culprit.
