Awesome. Thanks for posting pics. I've been wanting to do the same thing. Do you think those springs will settle any?

    Dead!!

Same here after a two week no-drive period. Strange side effect, I had to hit the fuel reset switch before she would crank.

    *vid* of 05 Gt autocrossing

Woohoo! That looks like a whole lotta fun. I've been afraid to try autocross because I imagine it would be *way* too addictive, and that wouldn't work out right now. Maybe in a couple of years.

The file I get from that link is an 11kb jpeg. It says "Site not supported". What gives?

Send the kids out of the room and read it out loud. BTW, the link above points to a file with no extension. What format is the video?

So if you were sponsored by a furniture company called 'Sofa King', it would be: Sofa King/We-Todd-Did Racing? I really need help.

    Improving Handling

Some speculation on my part, but: I don't think you would want a strut brace as your only mod. The car pushes a little as is. Seems to me a strut brace would tighten it up, then it might really plow.

    check out this CAI-Western Motorsports

I wonder if it's getting hotter air from the radiator than the stock location. The ram air sounds promising -- especially since you keep the stock hood.

    Engine braking (lack of)

Looks like there aren't any definitive answers yet. It may take quite some time before someone figures it out. There are too many more important things to work on. I mostly wanted a sanity check since I had no experience with the 4.6 engine. Thanks for all the replies. BTW, mine is a...

    Engine braking (lack of)

I was thinking the same thing about the computer keeping the butterfly open; but I did another search on the subject and found a post about it. Evidently it's the idle air bypass on the older 4.6 motors. They were using a restrictor plate on the IA to fix it. Could be the same here. I'll...

    Engine braking (lack of)

Is it me, or is there real lack of engine braking? This is my first contact with the mod motor, and I've been driving a Jeep for a few years - so I might be willing to accept that I'm just used to the tractor engine in my Jeep; but I don't think so. Even if I tach it up to 4k or so (I may...

sorry if already addressed, but anyone with sudden power loss?

I think it's TCS, too. My solution is to never get all the way off the throttle. The pause only seems to be there when you completely lift the throttle and then try to get back in.
