    Xhaust Problems for Inspection

I can't give you any advice, I'm still running a stock exhaust. However, it'll be helpful for the rest of the folks on the forum, who have more experience than me, to know where you are, and how strict an inspection you need to pass. Is it a sniffer, visual only, or whatever. For that...

    Convertible rear speaker grills?

I looked for a year and Ebay is the only place I've seen them. Mine aren't bad, but I know how easy they are to break if the people getting in and out of the back seat aren't careful. I was looking for a backup set, just in case.

Barely Passed VA Sniffer - What to Check for Next Time

I have cats and would be willing to bet they're the originals. Might be time for some low restriction cats.

I'm in Fairfax, just up Rt 123 from you. You'll have to make the same numbers.

Barely Passed VA Sniffer - What to Check for Next Time

I live in Northern VA and we have to pass a sniffer test for emissions every two years. Put the 5.0 through the inspection yesterday and barely passed. The allowable HC reading (Hydrocarbon?) is 55 at 15 mph and 60 at 25 mph. My HC reading was 55 at 15 mph and 60 at 25 mph, so I just slipped...

looking at a 99 cobra, need opinions

Seems pretty high to me. Go to www.edmunds.com and research used car prices. Seems like $8,000 - $9,000 is probably closer to where it should be priced, depending on the condition.

    Stats/numbers question

Sounds like an Impala SS. Unless it's been heavily modified, or the driver is a complete fool, the Cobra should eat it for lunch. The specs on the Impala SS are a curb weight of 4036 lbs, 260 HP and torque of 330 ft lbs. The 99 Cobra curb weight is about 3400 lbs, 320 HP and 317 ft lbs of...

Proud new owner of a 01 cobra coupe

Congrats on the car. I've owned mine for about a month and really enjoy it. I'm sure you will too. As 01CobraDude stated, the only difference in the manuals is the SVT supplement. I'm looking at mine now and there's not much there that would be considered must read info. The major headings...

    Missing/Stutter at about 2k RPM's

Yep, new filter and removing the piece of plastic that was sucked into the intake blocking the filter gave the Cobra a new lease on life. All is good again. :D

    Putting a 03 cobra bumper on a 96 cobra

Anything is possible if you have enough money. It's not going to be a direct bolt on.

    Missing/Stutter at about 2k RPM's

I think I've fixed the problem. When changing the air filter (the original very nasty FOMOCO piece by all appearances) I found a big piece of plastic inside the filter box after removing the air filter. It looks like this thing must have been sucked into the airbox at some point and I have to...

Cobra Exhaust Vid - Mac, Bassani, FRPP

I'm not sure I'd want any of them on my Cobra, but the MAC has a deeper sound and is the least obnoxious. The other two are too raspy.
