    I have the catted X and it came with pipes too, so you can do an easy switch. I like the option of going both ways. :nice:

    I had a 95 Cobra with a 8pound Ford Motorsport blower, Headers H pipe and cat backs with a good tune and I was at 330 rwhp. :D I think in your case it would be a driver’s race. I have seen several 03 owners running high 13’s out at the track due to poor driving. :nonono:

    Check these stock Eaton #'s

    Very tempting, I have always heard of motors melting and such that I have never thought once about it, but with those numbers wow. I have seen kits for around $500, but I would think tune, and installation are the most important. Any suggestions or things to look out for? :shrug:

    I’ve got the same mods, and more and even though my tune is really conservative on 91 gas I’m getting only 502rwhp. Can a 100 shot really make a 200hp difference?

    Off topic, but you can go to the two part Baer rotors in the front and save 24 pounds in unsprung weight where it counts the most. :nice:

    Thanks all for the replies and some cool pictures. My car is for weekends, but I also race it occasionally at Thunder Hill raceway in northern California. Looks and performance are both important, and I see great arguments for both types.

    Just DYNO'd my 2004 COBRA

    I’m selling a new one on e-bay right now for $299.00 :nice: It’s the new model with increased adjustability. I paid $400.00 for it last week but the tuner used a chip instead so I don’t need it.

    I noticed you plan on porting the blower. It was my experience that the gains are minimal without also doing the throttle body and inlet pipe. :shrug: Those numbers look right SAE with the mods you have listed.

    Got it back last night, and it sounds awesome! The timing could be moved forward a bit to squeeze out some more hp, but it is very conservative for now so I’ll drive it for a wile and see how it goes. I hear 500hp is pushing the limits of the stock fuel system, anybody have any knowledge...

    Lowering Cobra

    I always prefer the handling that Steeda offers. I know from experience some of the Roush cars have problems with rubbing when lowered. :shrug:
