can a new edge still be fun with a auto in it?

My automatic is very fun. There are a lot of mods that you can do to the 4R70W to increase the firmness of the shifts & reduce lag. I really like the auto trans on the S197's, that extra gear really help out.

Wrecked my Mustang, maybe totalled. pics... hide your children

Hey - at least you're in one piece. Damage definitely looks repairable. If you were looking to have the car totalled you should have "lost control" after the impact ;) Who knows though - your frame could be bent, it's hard to tell the damage without lifting up the car. Get your neck checked...

    DONK!! another ruined mustang

I don't think those kinds of cars - donks - should be deemed legal to drive on public roads. Those older 70's / early 80's chevy's have those tiny drum brakes on the rear and they can't stop - or turn - for S***. I'd feel safer in a SmartCar.

Paint question, wait til spring or not

I'm thinking about using a portion of my tax return for a flat black paint job - the zinc yellow has baked in the florida sun for far too long. I'm not a big fan of glossy paint jobs - flat black would really make me happy/

    DONK!! another ruined mustang

Dude - I would be lying if I said I haven't seen similar things here in Jacksonville. I see new edge's on 20's ALL THE TIME! Most - if not all - are V6's. On the plus side, they're stimulating the economy.

    Yet another Ebay Disaster.

I feel sorry for this guy - because if he's trying to sell it for 40k - he must have close to 40k in it somehow. That craigslist link is a great example of a beautiful Grande. I don't think it's an ugly style body on the Mach1's, but this guy certainly did a great job.

    Central Florida stangs in here

I hope not - the regional forums are dead. No one ever posts in them. I've posted in there - but have come across far more locals in the 4.6 forums that I ever have in regionals. Is this even in Orlando?

    torque tech, KB, or vortech

One prime example of why you couldn't pay me to live in California. If that state didn't spend so much money trying to enhance its image as a "green" and "socially responsible" state, it probably would be in such a financial bind right now. Huge state income tax levy, water police(making sure...

    What is a "stroker" motor?

I've heard some negative comments about the Procharger - like the leaking oil seals issue. I would go positive displacement - preferably TorkTech. No visible intercooler - but there's no mistaking the awesome sound of a twinscrew supercharger.

I hope the kit came with that skank in the corner - is that a hole cut out of the mouth that I see?

Joe Dirt is one of the greatest movies of all time. Also - don't forget - he has a crappy superbird, which is still a super nice and very expensive car even in it's crappy condition. He also buys that classic Plymouth GTX - with a hemi - which is an awesome car! "Life's a garden, dig it" - Joe Dirt

    Yet another Ebay Disaster.

At Barrett Jackson they would bid to get that thing sent to the demo-yard. That thing is the biggest ripoff I've ever seen. I was tempted to message the seller about false advertisement - as the car does not have a blower.

    Yet another Ebay Disaster.

Wow - I hope his listing gets removed. That "customer blower" is probably taped onto the hood. It's a high-rise intake with non functional butterfly valves. This guy is only fooling himself (and the insurance company) and there is no way in hell it has 13k miles on it - maybe 113 or 213. I would...

    What is a "stroker" motor?

You'll gain some power - and some nice torque. It's fairly expensive to do - unless you're building a block from scratch - because it involves basically stripping the engine down to its block.

    Can i get some pics/suggestions?

Posted response to problem on your other thread about the leak
  19. Stark77

WTF OH NO HE DIDN'T! (I need help...please)

First off - install your gears. Second - don't bother with the P-51 unless you never ever plan on putting a twin screw/roots blower on your car. You can put a 125 shot on your car without any issues - that will leave him in the dust. If it was a Z-28 I would say leave it with just your 3.73's in...

    Nitrous problem

Do not use teflon tape - the little pieces that crumble can break off and make their way into the solenoid. Pick up some teflon paste. Apple it conservatively to the first 2 or 3 threads, you don't want a whole lot squeezing out. Most importantly, tighten everything down properly and DO NOT test...
