I don't consider it to be retro. I really see it as FORD going back to its roots where the mustang had drifted from its original ford designers' intentions. After the 80's mustangs came out I believed that FORD went completely off track from its original conception of the mustang. I think...

so when do we get to see a vert?

yeah, even the first mustang there was a man on the ford design team trying to push a retractable hard top, but it was scrapped.

    2005 GT or 2006 Cobra?

i think waiting is probably your best bet. there might end up being a lot of recalls in the first year because this is an entirely new design which will need some real miles on it to know how well it will hold up.

so when do we get to see a vert?

yeah, but the technology is there for them to make this work along with a wider trunk compacity than past mustang generations. It may not seem realistic or cost effective, but if the option is available then it would seem that ford would eagerly take it on to gain more eye catching reviews...

How long will the new rerto Stang last???

I wouldn't consider this to be just another retro car. I think what ford did was just bring back the specific things that made this a mustang to begin with. Even though it may be hard for us to fathom how this car can ever be redesigned again and it will be in possibly 10 years and will continue...

I doubt as many would be sold if there is a safety hazard or inconvenience to most drivers by having to pump from the rear. I liked it on my old stangs, but would prefer the new stang to keep it on the driver's side.
