Hanging revs, slow to return to idle

That's the famous Drive-by-wire throttle lag that ticks us all off.. You can tune it out by using a tuner such as the Diablo Predator.

Rear Center Blackout and Taillight Blackout

No more difficult to keep clean than the original 69-70 Honeycomb rear panel.. Unless you're rocketing down dirt roads frequently, normal washing will remove whatever buildup there may be. For me - it's worth it. I loved the 69-70 Boss and Mach1 cars. This helps make my tribute to those...

Can't get over my V8 envy.

You'll forever be saying: Wow...I coulda had a V8!!!! That's my take on it. You've not pulled the trigger because the desire for that V8 rumble and smooth power is calling your name... Buy the V6 and you've settled for less than your desires. So as Cliche' as it may sound - You...

    CDC Shaker

Looks GREAT on my car. Power gain - maybe a little without a tune - I'm hoping for more once I get a chance to put a CAI tune into the car in the spring. For me - the cosmetic value of it was worth the price. It's a bonus that it's functional as I hate things that are phoney..

    Ordered LeMans Stripes - Help!

Unless things have changed for the 06 - there is no such thing as a factory lemans stripe or any other stripes. They're all dealer installed and can be purchased in different configurations. Gary - I returned your PM.

    New 2006 MUSTANG GT

Sounds like a nice car, but I'd skip the 20's.... These cars just don't look right with bigger than 18's in my opinion.. Actually some of the sharpest rims I've seen on a Black S197 were Bullets that had the centers painted black and the outide rim polished like chrome..

Ford won't ok a new engine in a 05 GT with

You cannot legally re-stamp the VIN on any component anymore. While I no longer work as a tech in the dealerships, I've plenty of connections that are still there and this is what they are told. Back to the issue at hand - we're talking about the man's engine block. There's absolutely...

Ford won't ok a new engine in a 05 GT with

Federal law does not require that the VIN be stamped indelibly in the removable body components. It does require it to be on the major driveline assemblies such as Engine Block - Transmission Housing - Differential housing. Another factor you may not have thought about. Originality. The...

Ford won't ok a new engine in a 05 GT with

I think that their reluctance to just outright replace the engine is because major components of our cars these days are serialized to the VIN as an anti-theft device. As in - the VIN is stamped in the block, No two blocks can have the same VIN. Let us know how it goes..
