    I gotta be honest, I just don't see it with the stalker front bumper. I always thought either the saleen or the cobra bumper was the best looking one for our cars. Either way I still love your car JR!

    The tranny (T5) comes out no prob with longtubes just be sure to separate it from the bellhousing. The bellhousing with my BBK LT's took some positioning to get it out but it should all clear. Just have the trans and bellhousing in two pieces. Hardest part of a clutch install is putting...

    I powershifted up till 100,000k Now my tranny grinds 3rd whenever I shift hard. I agree, unless you really REALLY need to drop .1 sec I wouldn't do it. I personally would rather be able to drive it home... Its not worth the risk.

    Gears!!!! But of the two I'd have to say H/C/I way too many more things to screw up there if you're not careful and measure everything twice.

    That's because it is the lower intake restricting the flow. The upper actually flows best out of the three. The lower is where the restrictions are.

    The oil cap, I just took a screwdriver and pryed off the top part of the stock oil cap, so now I just have the bottom part for the oil cap, I'm still trying to figure out something else since it looks kinda ugly. The GT-40 flows decent, I'm only about 5-10 rwhp off from the Eddy/trick flow...

    It would be (is) a PITA, I'm still trying to figure out an easy way to get at it now lol. I've been meaning to check my AC fuse for a while now haha http://www.corral.net/forums/showthread.php?t=407315 This thread was helpful for me when I hid my wires.

    I don't have a problem with popping my hood.... :D Did the wire hiding thing a while ago, real easy. All the connectors only go to one place so you can't screw it up. I still marked them just to be safe. Just get a crap load of zipties, take out the splash shields and go to town.

    111,000 here. When I did the H/C/I the cylinders still had honing marks and there wasn't even a ridge at the tops of the cylinders. These engines wear forever... Not to say you'll be fine, stuff happens but for the most part these engines seem to run forever.

    I came up with -0.001" preload since I have a .038" shim and .039" of endplay w/o the shim. Am I ok or should I have the recommended 0.002 to 0.003" of preload?

    Who sells a shim kit that is needed when swapping out bearing retainers on a T5?? I'm working on this now and want to have the shims available. If there's a variety kit out there I'd like to know where and how much if possible. Thanks!
