    MGW Shifter Installed!

    Installed new MGW shifter last evening on my '03 Cobra.......everything they said it would be. Short, crisp shifts with no noise! It was definitely worth the wait!! :nice:

    Tint I just saw you have 20% tint....how do you like it?? I was thinking of going 35% on 2 fronts and 20% on the 3 in the back..........I just don't want a long term headache with the tint coming off etc.

    Yeah, at least I have an idea where I stand....actually did a fifth pull (negative one) after @ 10 minutes and the hp was at 434 (done in 4th gear). :nice:

    Which part makes the exhaust so loud ?

    Magnaflows are one of the quieter aftermarket exhausts....that's why I have one on my '03 Cobra Bassani makes removable baffles that you can put in the end of Bassani or Magnaflow systems that quiets it considerably and doesn't cut HP.......check to make sure they fit your application. :nice:

    Breakin it in

    Let her rip..........these babies are built for punishment from the get go!! p.s. Change the oil now and going forward in 1,000 mile increments up until 5,500 miles or so and then every 2,500 afterwards (if it's an every day driver...1,500 if it's not).

    I'm happy for you.....but, too retro IMO...if I want a REAL 70ish Mach 1 I will by one from the 70's. Looks like I will keep my '03 Cobra and/or switch over to The Heartbeat of America's showpiece....new Vette. Disappointed with Ford...they took it too far!!!!! :notnice:

    Correct....one handle is shorter for track (or someone who likes a really short throw) etc. (compared it to 5.0 handle) and the other is for every day driving/ergonomics (compared it to the Tri-Ax). When I say "compared" I mean in terms of height of the shifter handle. I ordered the taller...

    MGW new Shifter, first impression.

    I'm a big fan of MGW....have the majority of their interior items, shifter handle & knob. I didn't even hesitate pre-ordering without seeing the shifter or any reviews....I was in from the first day I heard they were coming out with a shifter!! :D
