Is car supposed to be on or off when bleeding brakes?

+1 It should be done with the car off.

    quick exhaust question

I believe that only the intermediate pipes (between the muffler and x-pipe) are different, and that the tail pipes are the same. I have heard of people using 94-95 kits on fox bodies with 87-93 intermediate pipes and minor mods. Do a search here, I know I have seen this question before. I am...

    What headers to buy?

I installed the Bassani equal lengths that are in my car now, and there is some extra steps involved. However besides the collector stud problem (which I think is due to the headers being used) there really just as straight forward as shorties. I have heard horror stories of people having to...

    What headers to buy?

The Ford Racing ones are tops on my list in my head, I have heard nothing but good things about them. I just don't know if I should go with standard shorties like the Ford Racing ones or equal lengths of another brand. I only got the equal lengths in the first place because I got such a good...

    What headers to buy?

I didn't know if this belonged in talk or tech, so if it is posted in the wrong place I apologize. To make a long story short I originally bought Bassini equal length headers and a Bassani X-Pipe. The headers were used and the collector studs just wouldn't line up with the stock h-pipe or...

    Valeo Clutchs, any good?

I have the King Cobra clutch in my car, and it says Valeo on the disc. After 40000 miles it still holds strong and feels great, and I am by no means easy on it. Even Valeo's stock replacement clutches that you can get at good part stores are better than stock.

    PLEASE HELP WITH MACH 460

It could be a number of things. I would first check the connections for the amps mounted under the rear deck. Turn the system on and use a multimeter to see if you are getting 12v power at the main power lead and the turn on lead, check for bad grounds and make sure the connectors are clean and...

    Rear Tranny seal install

I am pretty sure you can just pry it out carefully with the tranny installed, and the drive shaft out. I would definately use a genuine FoMoCo part. Then tap the new seal in using a socket of the exact same diameter of the seal or a piece of wood cut to that diameter so it goes in evenly and...

    HOLY FUEL MILEAGE BATMAN!

My first Mustang was a 1990 ex. Highway Patrol coupe that my dad drove right off the auction floor, drove 380 miles home, and got 36mpg. He could always get great mileage out of anything on the highway. The most I got out of it was 29mpg all highway, when it was all totally stock.

    ROYAL PURPLE?? WHO USES IT

I have tried RP, Amsoil, and Mobile 1. With Mobile 1 I get less valvetrain noise, and very slightly better miles per galon. As far as a seat of the pants feel, there is none for me with all three. I say go with Mobile 1 full synthetic, due to availability. I used RP for a while on my 2000...

    87-93 1 piece radiator bracket/cover...anyone have one?

Here is a pic of my Steeda polished one piece radiator hold down. My engine bay was very dirty, so trust me it looks really good when things are cleaned up. It should give you a general idea of what they look like installed though. This picture really doesn't do the Steeda piece justice...

    this is unbelivable.....

There was a guy around here that had a van that looked identical to that that ran 12.5's, and our track is at 5000 feet above sea level. It had no stickers, no vanity plates, crappy paint, stock wheels, and a tore up interior. Absolutely nothing to elude to how much power he was making. I...

    Need help, problem installing headers

The ground straps I hadn't thought of, I'll check that. There is no fan shroud anymore, it has a elctric fan conversion. Thanks.

    Need help, problem installing headers

Right now I am trying to install some Bassani equal-length headers on my 90 Notchback. Because they are equal lengths the motor needs to be lifted a few inches to get the passenger side header in. I have unbolted the motor mounts from the k-member, unbolted the tranny from it's mount, but...
