Progress pics of my light titanium notch

Like was said earlier, the coil packs arem more reliable and a fair bit more accurate. I imagine if I got aftermarket coils, there would be stronger spark as well. It's an all around better system but not necessarily worthe doing all the work to convert.

    Lowered car pics please

Yeah....right now it needs a 3.5" cowl to clear. I'm going to modify some things next winter to HOPEFULLY get it under a 2" cowl.

Progress pics of my light titanium notch

Well here's the pics of my EDIS upgrade. Please excuse the cell phone pics. It's all I have right now  First up is my coil packs and the mount I fabricated for them. I basicly cut my old MSD distributor in half and welded some **** on to it to mount the coil packs on. Now it...

is it my clutch? revs up every time i engage clutch TELL ME NO

If you just put that intake on...check underneath the upper. People often miss the vacuum lines hidden under there. And there is no need to bump your post every hour!

Progress pics of my light titanium notch

Well, I got my new coil pack mount fabricated aswell as my crank position sensor mount, and got my 36-1 trigger wheel mounted on the crank. It's pretty well good to go. I just have to find a set of spark plug wires to work for this set up...which is proving pretty difficult. I also have the...

Am i better off with a Stroker kit or alum. heads?

Go with a 347 stroker. It won't make as much power as a 302 with aluminum heads, but in another year or two you can put aluminum heads on it and makes 340 at the wheels and then add forced induction too :) Or just make it a high compression 347 and have lots of fun even without forced induction.

1969 351w specs? can anyone help?

I have the same block. It's the first year of the 351W. These blocks have higher nickel content and a 9.48 deck height instead of the 9.5 deck height of the later model engines. If you are putting a newer intake on this block, you will need to get the intake machined where it meets the heads...

Ok, ready for some more help with my clacking engine..

Yeah, just have your rocker arms in place and torqued down so that the valves open etc. You should have the distributor in, althought it doesn't need to be in the right spot. It just needs to drive the oil pump.

HELP, cant get distributor / oil pump shaft to line up

The shaft should stay centered enough for the dizzy to slide over itI. You may need to rotate the engine by hand in order to get the driveshaft to line up with the distributor before it will drop in.

What's the best option? Rebuild or Engine Swap?

I usually see a used 5.0 ho go for about $500 around here. If you tear the engine down yourself, you should be able to get it rebuilt for around 2k. I would just go with a used engine however in your situation. 500 vs 2k is a big difference, especially when the stock **** will do you fine.

Compression test and leak down test are about all you got left before the motor comes out.

I wouldn't worry too much about the little bit of dirt. If you are really worried about it change the oil again after you've started the car up and let it warm up when it's all fixed. Probably wouldn't be a bad idea to change the coolant either because you could have gotten some gunk in there.

    2.95 1st gear - anyone have it?

My TKO has a 2.87 first gear and I have 3.55 rear end gears. With my 28" tall tires my car goes to over 45mph in first, over 70mph in 2nd and goin 60 I'm cruising at about 1700rpm in 5th :)

Quad Shock Rubbing in 17x9 Cobras

All suspension nuts/bolts on the car are metric. I'm pretty sure it's 18 or 19mm. Also, IF you can afford it, you should look in to getting some after market lower control arms. If you have after market lower control arms on your car, you don't really even need the quad shocks which saves you...
