    +1 on D. Hearne's thoughts on the heads. Cleveland heads breath great already, are they 4bbl or 2bbl heads? The 2bbl provide better low end torque which is good for the street. For headers I use Sanderson shorties and have had no problems with them. Sanderson Headers - sandersonheaders.com

    Tranny Problems need help

    B&M Ratchet shifter uses a cable? If it does I would make sure the cable hasn't touched somewhere on the exhaust and melted it.

    Wheel fitment question

    10.5"s might work in the rear of a 68, I am using 10.5"s in the rear of my 70 with a 7/16" hubcentric spacer. I am running 8" on the front with a 1" hubcentric spacer and think you would have a problem with the UBJ with a 9" rim.
