    Who cares? It wasn't a union bailout package unlike the GM and Chrysler bailouts. Ford has weathered the recession made sound management/financial decisions and is a better, leaner, more competitive company. OTOH, GM will be in financial trouble again because they didn't deal with the unions...

    Honestly, the thermostat housing bolts was my first guess as they looked very familiar, but when I did an internet search for "thermostat housing bolt + 4.6" I got pics of a different type of bolt so I thought I could be wrong. The only thing throwing me off is the washer and nut on the bolt...

    Squealing Belt Or Pulleys??

    Could be the belt tensioner arm itself. They're aluminum and over time fatigue and bend causing the belt to sit unevenly on the tensioned pulley and it will squeak. There is a steel replacement that would work well.

    +1... in fact, it could be an opportunity to upgrade to a V-8 if you're interested. Under 100K mile SOHC engines sell for $500-$1000 all day long.

    I find it most likely that this is a 4 cylinder car... looks like the seller just tilted the 4 banger and added a second set of 4 cylinders made mostly of paper-mache to make it look like a V-8. I'd stay away from this one
