    Leaking Master Cylinder cover

Hmm. Never thought of that. I remember always being told by my dad that the fluid should be 1/4" from the top of the reservoir. Of course he also told me that turkeys would drown in a rain storm becuase they can't quit staring up at the sky.....

    NEED HELP BOLTING PROJECT UP!!

Well there really isn't that wide of an assortment. They are all english threaded, so why don't you go down to your local hardware store and pick up one of each size bolt they have (maybe in coarse and fine too?). At .07 to .25 each it wouldn't be too much. Then as you go through the parts do...

    Leaking Master Cylinder cover

I know I have replaced this thing several times over the years, the last just to attempt to fix this issue. The thing just leaks around the cover over time. Any suggestions on a fix to keep this from happening? Is there a good (not too expensive - i.e. not billet) replacement for the stock...

    Anybody running 265 50 15

I'm pretty sure thats what I have on my 68. They looked great in the early 90's when that was the style, but after seeing all the cars lately that are running 16s and even 17s, I am probably going to upgrade soon. They just fill the wheelwell better. I might be able to send you some pics...

    Heater core replacement

    Concept Mustang from Italy

Except for the tail lights, lambo doors, and the seats I like it. Orange isn't my color either.

Factory leather interior? Or is it vinyl?

I have always assumed that the interiors in our classics were always vinyl (like my 68), and it bugs me everytime I read a classified or something and it says "leather seats", when I know they are vinyl. But today I am looking at Barrett Jackson and reading about this Shelby that sold for...

    '68 Dash VIN missing

The replacement dash pad on my 68 has a notch near the drivers side corner against the windshield for the tag. I have the tag in a box somewhere, but it is not installed - it's barely readable anyway. I have never had a problem registering mine, even after dealing with an accident that...

Why Painless? Why EZ? Why not replace with stock style wiring?

I hadn't heard of that yet, but I will look into it. I guess the last painless thread I read had pictures of wires all over the place in a big rat's nest, and I wasn't looking forward to getting that involved in something I was trying to correct while I was doing engine bay work. My purpose...

Why Painless? Why EZ? Why not replace with stock style wiring?

While no power windows, I do have a nicer alpine head unit that was installed about 10 years ago. I ran a nice thick wire with it's own fuse from the deck to the battery. I only used the switched lead for power on/off. Interesting answers so far. Maybe a lot of it has to do with end use -...

Why Painless? Why EZ? Why not replace with stock style wiring?

After reading several threads and searching through the forums I am stuck with a question: Why would someone choose to use the Painless kit (or similar) over stock-type replacement pieces? From what I have read the "painless" kit seems anything but. I am starting a 4th (or so)...

MY NIGHTMARE @ Don Barry Mustang, JAX FL

I looked into this when it was first posted. This company has several complaints listed, but is not a BBB member. http://www.jacksonville.bbb.org/report.html?ID=5000419&wlcl=y

    Calling EDBERT - Gauge upgrade!!

So then it sounds like you can use the blue/red for power? Is that a 12V line? Also from here: (http://en.allexperts.com/q/Ford-Repair-811/constant-voltage-unit-instrument.htm) it looks like the "CVU" only puts out 6 volts (in a 66 anyway). Geo - I know when I installed a stereo years ago I...

    Calling EDBERT - Gauge upgrade!!

Wow that looks awesome. I have a wiring diagram in front of me, and I can tell you that the blue with red stripe is the 12v for the dash panel lights. Let me digest the diagram a little and I might be able to tell you where the other ones go.... Edit: Nevermind. I see that is not what you...

Where do I start for a total rebuild of 68 coupe

I am told you can use a baseball bat wedged in between the tire and the lip, but for mine we ended up making little cuts in the lip and bending it back piece by piece, which I would NOT recommend - it created a few small creases in the outer edge of the fender.
