    I didn't say I believed him. I see it as a slight possibility because these engines haven't been in other cars for long term testing. I've read about the head problems in several forums, and just one dealer started this rumor. Amazing how fast rumors can spread.

    About the cylinder head problem. Why didn't ford put a couple of these new engines in the Lincoln or Crown Vic. I always thought of these cars as the test beds for new engine design. I guess this has happened before, because I seem to remember the newer Cobras having a head gasket problems.

    The only problems I can think of is that the main/rod bearings are designed and broken-in with a load on the motor. Like everyone else said keep it below 5500 (good safety buffer) and you should be fine.

    I can't see any wires arching. The sound seems to be getting louder. Ever heard of having to get 6.300" pushrods for a stock valvetrain?
