    if you have the cash, I would recommend a set of electric cut outs from QTP. I lucked up on a set used for about 125 bucks and just had them installed. Talk about awesome. I'm loud when I want to be and when the law comes around I'm in the good 100%. :) I know a new set will set you back around...

    the 429 out of a boss 429. The boss 429 had a "semi-hemi" cylinder head. The motor was more or less a NASCAR engine that had to be put into a production car to be ok to use in racing. There was also a lot fewer Boss 429s than the 428CJs

    +1 for the 570 Street Avenger. I have one on my 62 T-bird with a 390 big block. Does great on gas (for a big block) and very easy to set up.

    BTW, I still to this day kick myself for not picking up a TEAL GTS a few years ago. Great looking and performing cars. Sorda wish Ford had a strip down version of the Mustang now. One would def. be sitting in my driveway.

    Guero: Might be able to run the VIN with the dealer or your insurance provider. I remember when I first got my GT the insurance asked if it was a GT or GTS so there has to be some way of verifying.

    Ranchero had 427s too. A friend of mine has one waiting to be restored. Also visited a CEO of a movie theater chain that had a 427 Shelby Mustang in dark green. Just never know what those things will turn up in. Ford did all kinds of crazy things.

    Where did you guys put screws at to mount you full length gauge pillar? I want to put one that don't stick out like a sore thumb but also holds it in place with little gap as possible.

    I had the same problem but on a front rotor. Everything was fine until the backing plate kept slipping down till it started to cut a groove in the rotor at the hub. if the pads are old might as well replace but if not I would just keep an eye on it.
